I dunno, I don’t think Reid has a clue how to use Vick even if he wanted him.
They’re shocked he’s still on the roster. The plan was to flip him for a pick in the offseason…but the roster bonus screwed them.
But, yeah, Reid has let Kolb know he’s the man and there won’t be any controversy or competition behind him. Face it, Reid has three more years left – right? Either Kolb works out and he gets renewed, or Kolb fails and he gets fired. So Reid has gambled it all on Kolb. He’ll make sure he isn’t threatened or challenged.

Vick is being traded or shopped to please Kolb. I Know you say that Kolb doesn’t dictate the Eagles FO. But, He did tell them he would not sign an extension if he where not going to be the starter and now Mcnabb is gone. Like it or not all you Limbaugh followers Vick is a threat to Kolb and he and Reid know this. So get rid of him before the season starts.
To those that say Vick was overrated we as Eagles fans better hope that Kolb is as “overrated” as Vick was. Vick was playing for a conference champioship in his 3rd year. With FAR less weapons that Kolb has now.
All i see is the Eagles doing everything in their power for Kolb to succeed something they never did for Mcnabb. WR, Running game ( watch how much the Eagles run this season) A new offensive line, a TE that actually catches the ball. This is what you call every chance to succeed Suprise me Kolb and be great. Do what Mcnabb didn’t do and bring home a Lombardi. If you do anything less you are a failure.

Bulger was OK, as long as he was protected and surrounded by decent weapons. And if he isn’t asked to do too much.
Whoever said Bulger writhed in plain after sacks is right – I remember he often looked like he got shot after marginal hits.

Are you for real? Yeah, Vick was a #1 overall pick. So were Jeff George, Tim Couch, JaMarcus Russell, Alex Smith, and David Carr.
I wouldn’t mind Bulger as the veteran backup. He was a good player before the Rams imploded. Garcia would be a nice option too, unless those reports of him never being happy as a backup are true. As for Vick, if he were a car I’d leave him out on the street unlocked with the motor running.

I still feel that Vick’s best chances for future success as well as being able to completely turn around a teams for success is for him to go to St. Louis…….
With Vick under center for the Rams many defenses will have to plan for him taking much attention off of Steven Jackson much like in the same way as the Titans did by starting Vince Young and getting some relief or pressure off of Chris Johnson….

I would rather see us sign Allen Iverson to play #2 QB. At least he has some accomplishments, unlike Vick. And you would get about the same level of production.

The only way the Eagles sign a veteran backup is if they trade Vick. I highly doubt that the birds would pay the 5+ to vick and another backup the likes of Bulger.
Look for a middle round pick to groom as the number 3.

If it was a capped year I would say trade him, but what’s the point of doing it now when you aren’t going to get any value in return and it isn’t inhibiting us in any way? I don’t think there’s any way he’ll get back to the level he used to be at before prison, but there’s also no way he won’t improve from last season.
