Deb says she’s 99 percent sure the Steelers will suspend Roethlisberger. Really? Nintey-nine percent? What’s with the only one percent?
I am 50 percent sure the Rooneys will trade him… if they can find a taker.
As for all those day-one posts in which she claims to have said that Roethlisberger is a jackass: Nope, never happened.
In fact, OTHERS were the jackasses (or worse) if they even hinted that her beloved Big Ben might have been involved in any wrongdoing.

The one important piece of information that’s being left out by those pretending not be defending Roethlisbger but really are is this:
Those bodyguards blocked the entrance to the VIP room, and as were instructed by boss Ben, they didn’t allow men but did allow women only into the room. Once in the room, the women were supplied booze by Roethlisberger.
This story would not be nearly so tragic had Roethlisberger been partying with both males and females. Perhaps shaking a few hands and talking some football.
Instead, he was on the prowl — and with the aid of his bodyguards and free alcohol — he was searching exclusively for potential sexual partners.
He obvioulsy choose the woman who had shown the most interest … and also was the most intoxicated.
Trade him … while he still weighs only 300 lbs. and before he reaches the 350 mark.

You can’t refute the factual information and lack the profundity to discuss deeper issues of personal responsibility and equal justice regardless of status–which sometimes can be more difficult to obtain for the famous than the homeless. So you find threads where simpletons hurl insults and rush to piggyback on their posts. Strength in numbers. Sorry, I can’t relate. I’ve always been able to stand on my own. That’s what comes of having the courage of your convictions.

She’s just pointing out that if Roethlisberger did, in fact, commit a crime, he would have been convicted in an air tight case, regardless of his celebrity status. Thanks for the link. I’ve never seen the documentation on the conversation with Roethlisberger, so I didn’t know who conducted that interview. The police chief said several times that Blash had no involvement in the investigation beyond the initial conversation with the accuser–that’s what I was going by.
The DA talked as though more than one officer was present when Roethlisberger was interviewed. But he said Roethlisberger only said a couple of sentences before one of the men in his group said he shouldn’t say more without an attorney.
I’ve really tried to stick to the facts in everything I’ve posted. I’ve said from the beginning that Roethlisberger is a jackass, but that’s not a criminal offense. As the DA said, there’s not enough evidence for probable cause for an arrest, let alone a conviction. He said there was a lot of alcohol and plenty of blame to go around and he hopes they both learned something. That’s not the typical comment of a prosecutor who who thinks a rapist is getting away for lack of evidence.
I think two fools got drunk and behaved foolishly. It’s a sordid mess, but not a rape.
As for Ben, he’s a sleaze. Rather than having the league set a precedent, I’d prefer the Steelers deal with him. I’m 99 percent sure they’d suspend him, and I’d support whatever they decided. Why so many idiots interpret that as me defending Ben, I’ll never know.

Just a question to no one in general…. Is wearing an item of clothing or apparel that states, “Down to F*K” an invitation to sexual intercourse even if said person says “no” TWICE during a sexual encounter?
My father and community I grew up in taught me that once a woman says no it means STOP even if its in the middle of the act and no matter how intoxicated the woman is. I was also taught consequently not to take advantage of inebriated persons.
Have any of you been taught different or does your clothing or mental state somehow imply consent to sex acts regardless of any verbal communication between parties involved?

I really didn’t quite like his demeanor.. sort of like grinning and extending a paternal arm around ben’s shoulder.. “you know better than that” really..? this was not a mischief or something slightly wrong.. there was a CRIMINAL INTENT of luring the girl to the private area.. wasn’t it, deb.. clarify for us.. at least one bodyguard participated.. those written statements were taken over a week ago.. where are the written statements of the goons.. mr DA?

I find it hilarious and hypocritical of all the Squeeler fans defending the actions of Rapistburger yet these are the same people that call Ray Lewis a murderer.
What’s even more mind boggling is that in Rapistburger’s case, there is not only evidence, but corraborated stories (albeit, not enough for a conviction says the “I must save face here” DA) between BOTH parties.
Yet, there isn’t one stitch of evidence showing Ray had anything to do with killing those men in Atlanta.
Face it, Rapistburger is an ego driven loser that preys on drunk underage college chicks!
