Albert Haynesworth isn’t at Redskins minicamp this weekend, and doesn’t plan to show up for any voluntary work all offseason.
Redskins G.M. Bruce Allen says he’s not disappointed since the workouts are voluntary, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post.
Allen knows there’s nothing to be gained by publicly calling Haynesworth out. The $100 million man who doesn’t want to play defensive tackle reportedly hopes to be traded during the draft. The Redskins would presumably love to move him after trying to deal Haynesworth earlier this offseason.
Allen spoke about trade discussions for his available players generally: “We’ve had some talks with different people who are trying to trade some
players,” Allen said. “But I don’t know what’ll happen.”
