Plenty of defensive end options for Titans

One of my big takeaways from our team needs series thus far is how strong the Titans roster is from top to bottom.

One of the areas the team is lacking is at defensive end.  The team doesn’t blitz a lot, and needs a better pass rush from their line.

The Titans should have a few good men to choose from when they select No. 16 overall.

“We have three or four players at defensive end that we think are
probably worth our pick
, and that is a good thing,” Titans G.M. Mike Reinfeldt said this week.

That list almost surely includes Georgia Tech’s Derrick Morgan and South Florida’s Jason Pierre-Paul.  If those two players are gone, Michigan’s Brandon Graham, Southern Cal’s Everson Griffen, and Texas’ Sergio Kindle are options.

The NFL Draft is rarely predictable, but it would be a surprise if Reinfeldt doesn’t take one of the ends on his list.

WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, S and im going to go ahead and say QB as well, all could be a lot better. but yeah aside from that they don’t have many needs.

Yes, there are several good DE’s at the top of this draft – but there are also several others in the mid-late rounds who might turn out to be good 3-4 DE’s in the NFL : Jason Worilds, Arthur Jones, Tyson Alualu, Cory Wootton, Alex Carrington, Austen Lane – just to name a few.

    @ wryly1–im not sure why that was even said..titans run a 4-3 not a 3-4

No they drafted Britt last year also Gage and Washington have proven to be reliable. Tennessee is not a team to go to the air but if needed they can so they should not be spending alot of money at WR. TE and OL lol just tells me you have even less clue about the Titans Depth chart. The O-line is considered by some to be the best in the game. You dont have a 2000 yard rusher with a bad line. And they def have a couple of good TE. No DE is first then secondary then LB.

tenakeytyrant9 – I was only commenting about the DE crop in general, not Titans in particular. With more NFL teams than ever playing a 3-4, it’s a hard position to fill, because so little of that defense is played at NCAA level.

Why the hate train on the QB, that is the default reply by pessimistic band wagonners.
You should consider becoming a RAIDERS fan

OH Titans, if you REALLY want the 4-3 DE that is at the top of your big board then you had better trade up to #11.
