Tebow says Super Bowl ad cost him endorsement deals

Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow says his decision to appear in a Super Bowl commercial for Focus on the Family cost him opportunities to appear in other commercials.

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports that Tebow said during a speech in Nashville that multiple companies told him he couldn’t represent their products if he appeared in the Focus on the Family ad.

Tebow didn’t name the companies and said he didn’t regret his decision to appear in the ad.

Whatever deals he may have lost, Tebow won’t be hurting for endorsement money. He’s already inked deals with Nike and EA Sports, and he has an arrangement with a Florida autograph company that sells his signature for $160 a pop.
