18-game NBC slate includes Favre’s potential return to Lambeau

The 2010 schedule has been released, and as we recently reported our friends at NBC have increased their workload from 17 games to 18.

The NBC prime-time slate begins on September 9, with the Vikings at the Saints.

Three nights later, Donovan McNabb makes his debut in D.C. as the Redskins host the Cowboys.

On September 19, the Manning Bowl returns to NBC, with the Giants visiting the Colts.

On September 26, the Jets and Jason Taylor return to Miami, for a game against the Dolphins.

On October 3, the Bears travel to the new Meadowlands Stadium, for a game against the Giants.

On October 10, Philly flies to San Fran.

On October 17, McNabb hosts the Manning not named Eli, when the Colts and Peyton come to town.

October 24 features the Vikings (and presumably Brett Favre) returning to Lambeau Field.

Seven nights later, the NFL sticks it to baseball, with Steelers at Saints taking on the Fall Classic.

On November 7, the Cowboys face the Packers at Lambeau.

On November 14, the Steelers host the Patriots.

On November 21, the first flex weekend, Giants at Eagles is penciled in as the tentative game.

For November 28, the Chargers and the Colts will get together in Indy, barring a flex.

On December 5, Steelers at Ravens is on the docket.

December 12, the McNabb-less Eagles go to Dallas.

On December 19, the Packers head to New England.

On the second day of Christmas, Shawne Merriman can give Chad Ochocinco two black eyes when the Bengals host the Chargers.

For Week 17, there’s no game scheduled in advance. It’ll be picked upon the conclusion of Week 16, at the latest.
