THE JETS ARE A PIECE OF SHIT TEAM!!! I hate them and the fans. Going to the stadium and seeing those people sicken me to the core! I like JT he was an icon here….but going to the WETS!! Unforgivable…I threw up in my mouth when I read this article. JT Im gonna boo your ass when you come home you bastard! Any other team man any other one, I would have been fine with it. Go ahead and read some of the crap on Gang Green the fans are saying about you LOL. Ther are going to tear him a new one if he dont live up to expectations. Jason Traitor!

Those who hope that JT is coming to the Jets so as to sabotage them within are just evincing their Dolfan or anti-Jet mentality. Athletes are mercenaries who compete at the best of their ability to justify to management , their teammates and most importantly, themselves, that they are worth the money. When they fail, it’s not because they are purposely trying to do so. As for the charge that the Jets are bringing in an overrated, over the hill player, that might turn out to be true, but the Pats, as an example, weren’t accused of that when they rescued Junior Seau from the heap, and he made a contribution to that team. If the Jets as a result of this move decide to cut the big mistake that is Vernon Goulston, then I’m a happy camper no matter what JT contributes.

I realize it’s pointless to post cuz the average IQ on here could be counted on 1 hand. That being said, try to stay with me.
For those of you saying the Jets are trying to buy a ring, or comparing them to the free spending Redskins, shut up and get a clue. The Jets haven’t given out a single big contract. They are getting talented players for nothing and paying them less than that.
They aren’t even bringing in these players to be key guys, they are nothing more than supplemental pieces. LT is going to be a backup, Holmes will prob be a 3rd WR, Taylor will be a situational pass rusher. They aren’t bringing in old guys to be starters and pinning their hopes on them. They have their core in place already, Harris, Revis, Scott, Greene etc. Oh but Rex is fat so none of that logic counts right?

I love how so many of the posts on this wall contain a bunch of hate from Miami fans. We Jets fans are not trash like you love to believe. This is going to be a good move. Miami knows that they are not going to beat the Jets right now, they’re positioning themselves for the future. Jason Taylor is not the future. The Jets are in win now mode and one of the most prolific pass rushers currently playing can certainly add something to the defense. With all the blitzing they did last season, they got far too little production in terms of sacks. Watching Jason Taylor in practice everyday can help these guys pick up a few tricks when it comes to getting around those tackles. I’m happy about this.

As a Dolphin fan…I love JT. Always will but 1.5 sacks the last 10 weeks last year and he’s going to be 36 at the start of the year. This is non-factor move, even more so than LT.

It’s weird, and maybe I’m just not paying enough attention to comments, but I don’t think I can recall one comment from Jets fans proclaiming themselves to be this years favorites?
I don’t think anyone from New York is running around thinking that Jason Taylor is going to win the Jets a Super Bowl, most of my Jet fan friends are upset about the signing quite honestly.

why does evrybody sai the the jets are trying to buy a ring. How ever thinks that are complete idiots, which team does not want to get better at every chance they get or do they stick with the saem personall year after year. Signed one free agent this year that might make a difference. the rest were all trades, yes trades, you give something to somebody and then they gice something back to you. If that is called buying a ring than i guess every team is trying to buy a ring now a days.

This is a sad day for Dolphins fans… It wouldn’t be as bad if he went somewhere else, but the thought of seeing JT in Jets green twice a year makes my stomach turn… Looks like JT’s brother in law, Zach Thomas, was the true Dolphin of the two. Why do veterand do this. He should have retired at Miami. He will play one year with the Jets then they will cut him before the second season to avoid paying him. Then he will sign a one year contract with the Dolphins to retire as a Dolphins. Blech!
And if the Jets do badly, they will have the perfect scapegoat sitting right there in the locker room even if 52 others should take the wrap too.
Should have stayed in Miami, take a year or two off and transition as a coach.

uhh.. the year we didnt have JT (2008) we went 11-5 and won the division. Jets have become the new Redskins. Buy big in FA and fall flatt on their keasters in the season. AFC Championship game last year was an abberation. if the Colts hadn’t laid down in Wk 16, sorry a$$ jets wouldnt have made the playoffs.

Can’t wait to see the reaction in Miami when JT comes out in Jet green. Should be a lot of fun. As a Jet season ticket holder of 40+ years standing, I’ve always thought Taylor exuded a lot of class bsides being a great player. When the Jets won that fantastic 40-37 Monday night game a decade ago after being behind 30-7 in the 3rd quarter, Taylor was man enough some time afterward to agree to be interviewed by ESPN for a special telecast about that game and gave credit to the Jets. He didn’t have to do that.

Oh btw good luck getting past a better Ravens team and a still powerful Colts team in the AFC this year. Oh did you hear? You’ll also get the chance at 2 division games in the last 3 weeks of the season. No free ride into the playoffs this year.
