NFL suspends Ben Roethlisberger six games

The National Football League has suspended Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for six games for violating the league’s personal-conduct policy.

Roethlisberger will not be permitted to participate in team activities until he undergoes an evaluation. If he meets with the terms laid out by the league, he will be permitted to participate in training camp and the preseason before sitting out the start of the regular season, and he could have his suspension shortened from six games to four.

“The Personal Conduct Policy makes clear that I may impose discipline ‘even where the conduct does not result in conviction of a crime’ as, for example, where the conduct ‘imposes inherent danger to the safety and well being of another person’,” Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in his letter to Roethlisberger.

“As the District Attorney concluded, the extensive investigatory record shows that you contributed to the irresponsible consumption of alcohol by purchasing (or facilitating the purchase of) alcoholic beverages for underage college students, at least some of whom were likely already intoxicated. There is no question that the excessive consumption of alcohol that evening put the students and yourself at risk. The Personal Conduct Policy also states that discipline is appropriate for conduct that ‘undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL players.’ By any measure, your conduct satisfies that standard.”

The NFL’s statement on the suspension makes clear that Goodell has closely examined Roethlisberger’s actions in Milledgeville, Georgia. But the statement does not make any mention of a pending civil suit in Nevada by another woman who claims Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her. It is not clear whether that case played into Goodell’s decision.

Goodell told Roethlisberger he will have to undergo a thorough behavioral examination by medical professionals.

“Your conduct raises sufficient concerns that I believe effective intervention now is the best step for your personal and professional welfare,” Goodell wrote in his letter to Roethlisberger.

Goodell also said he believes Roethlisberger is capable of turning his life and his football career around.

“In your six years in the NFL, you have first thrilled and now disappointed a great many people,” Goodell wrote. “I urge you to take full advantage of this opportunity to get your life and career back on track.”

  1. took you long enough to post this. i actually had to go to ESPN.com for the latest news.

  2. So great that this guy got some kind of punishment. He is a douchebag coward rapist. His Superbowl rings now mean nothing.

  3. are you going to tell me the Rooneys arent already working with the league “evaluators”??
    $$$$
as if that classless organization wasnt hated enough for their preferential treatment, this will likely put nfl fans over the top and hopefully out of the seats.

  4. Ha to all you that said the media is making up rumors. Smoke and fire. Bring on the trade!

  5. Hmmmmm…coincidence based on the 1pm slate of Steelers games early on??? Maybe the sched. makers had a tip…regardless I still think a Leftwich or Dixon-led Steelers can beat the Ravens. Mendenhall is going to have to step it up even more this season, along w/ the D and Mike Wallace.

  6. BS! Lets suspend someone for being found innocent in the eyes of the law.
Tom Brady raped me yesterday. Suspend him for six games based on the evidence I just gave. That’s what this amounts to.

  7. That is just a nice way of making it look like a hard core suspension, but lets look at it for what it is. It is a 4 game suspension, because there is no way the Steelers will allow Roethlisburger to not comply. So the last 2 games are simply cosmetic

  8. The reason was providing alcohol to under-age kids (meaning under 21?) I guess Goodall just doesn’t want to say any uncomfortable words.

  9. Well, I wish it was a lifetime ban but at least he didn’t completely get off scott free from rape

  10. Like I said before, trade him to Buffalo for their #1 & Jairus Byrd. Draft a big left tackle and then go kick his ass on November 28 in Buffalo!

  11. Wait……. Rothelisberger broke the personal conduct policy? Where has the media been with this? I thought he was just getting suspended cause he was fat.

  12. This is a pile of crap, I wonder why Merrimen was a non story or suspension last yr for his sexual assault case and what about Tyrell Suggs dumping Bleach on his wife?
I guess someone had a hardon for Big ben!

  13. So basically 4 games unless he’s stupid enough to not follow the terms given by the league.

  14. Sooooooo…he’s suspended for buying underage teenagers alcohol and not for raping two chicks?

  15. Interesting – Goodell’s statement ONLY refers to supplying minors with alcohol.
Does that mean if Ben DOES get slapped with a Rape charge or loses a civil suit for Rape, that he get’s additional suspension time?

  16. He should’ve been suspended for the whole year, but I’m glad the NFL did something about it.

  17. Attaboy Roger!!!
this rapist is lucky he’s not being held down in a Georgia prison shower & having the favor returned.
less game checks = less money for Rapefatberger to spend on covering up his crimes, lousy P.O.S.!!!

  18. So he gest suspended for buying drunk underage chicks drinx and not for cornering the chick in the can?

  19. HA-HA-HA
Dumb ass hick. Wanna bet he does something stupid again within a year of returning to the game?

  20. Bravo! You’ve done what legitimate (sports)news outlets should do; you reported the news. No cheeky remarks, no baseless opinions, no attempts at humor. Well done…
Btw, Michael David Smith is not a competent writer.

  21. This is an embarrassment for the NFL! The elite covering up for the elite. I hope Pacman and others sue for racial bias.

  22. The Rapist got off fairly easy…half a season would have been too easy for this creep/turd!

  23. The steelers are done. They lost there WR,RB,QB. Mike Tomlin is a joke. He will destroy the once strong pittsburg team.

  24. He deserves more. Mike Vick got a year plus for “interstate gambling with dogs”, but I guess dogs are worth more than women to these people.

  25. The only crime here is a 6 game suspension. Goodell is always crying about keeping the integrity of the game. Ben’s off the field issues has no affect of the out come of the games. Mean while spygate affected the out come of games and nothing was done. Integrity my ass.

  26. Trade him to da Raiduzz…. or worse, the Bills. It would be fun watching him lure school girls into his igloo…

  27. The Rapist got off fairly easy…half a season would have been too easy for this creep/turd!

  28. So the NFL is only suspending him for the underage drinking issue and makes no mention of the sexual assault???

  29. Big Ben wakes up to the reality that he is, nor ever was all that special…Slowly put penis back into his pants.

  30. Dang. I was hoping that Goodell would get on stage when the Steelers pick and say they select Jimmy Clausen and oh by the way, Ben is suspended for 6 games, see ya!

  31. well, in light of everything, this seems about right. Hopefully he learns from this and does not go hogging in college bars anymore.

  32. 0-6 to start the season.
    no playoffs
change in the afc north power structure

  33. BREAKING NEWS: Using state of the art forensic technology, investigators have now determined Ben Rothlisberger tried to rape the tailpipe of a silver Chrysler New Yorker in 2006.

  34. Funny thing is if Ben was black and received this suspension, the same individuals who have been screaming racism would still be screaming racism only now they would be screaming it because a black man got suspended without ever being charged with a crime.

  35. Well hopefully this is a wake up call for him and he learns from it and gets the help he needs

  36. You may have OJ’d your way out of the rape charges Ben but at least there is some tiny bit of justice for what everyone is now seeing is a really bad guy!!!

  37. Glad I am not in a keeper league, Ben was the anchor of my team last year!
    toodeloo, Rapistburger…

  38. Medical evaluation?
Ben, why do you feel the way you do?
    Oh, you mean horny?
    Yes
Because I’m a male who produces testosterone.
Why do you feel you’re entitled to have sex with women?
Because I’m a millionaire superstar, and they all want me.
After all that’s happened, do you still feel the same?
    What, horny?
    No, entitled.
Sure, whatever. Just diagnose me as a sex addict already, so I have something to blame for my actions and the NFL can feel charitable for working with me through this tough time in my life.
Sorry – the hour isn’t up.
Okay, well I’m gonna go talk to your secretary and try to bang her. You stay here and keep me on the clock.
    ‘sigh’

  39. The only crime here is a 6 game suspension. Goodell is always crying about keeping the integrity of the game. Ben’s off the field issues has no affect of the out come of the games. Mean while spygate affected the out come of games and nothing was done. Integrity my ass. By the way not even charged if anything

  40. That is a hefty shot. It’s almost like a poison pill in that it makes a trade less likely. I find it difficult to believe that another team would be interested in a quarterback that cannot play until late October. The Steelers and their fans will just have to go on the best they can.
While Ben is going through his existential reawakening he should attempt to meet Ashley Dupree. She’s on the front cover of Playboy. She brought down a governor she would have no problem handling a knucklehead from Ohio. I’m quite serious. This assumes that Ashley would be interested, of course.
    GO STEELERS!

  41. I love all the people saying “He’s innocent, no charges” etc. Clearly most of those people don’t know the first thing about the laws in Georgia, where it is exceedingly difficult to prosecute these cases. Put it this way: in most of the other states in the U.S. there would have been more than enough evidence to prove a jury of his guilt. But really, all that is besides the point. Whether he acted illegally or not, his conduct was unbecoming of the higher-than-average standards people in the NFL are expected to follow, the suspension is completely justified.

  42. Hope the guy gets the help he needs before he repeats his behavior and ends up hurting more ladies and getting him self locked away for many years.

  43. It won’t end there Shitburgh! Don’t count on this boy being your starting QB even when the suspension ends.
He may not see another day in your vaunted black and yellow.
Still this does seem kind of harsh. Tom Brady shot at paparazzi…oh wait…that’s a good thing.

  44. ‘even where the conduct does not result in conviction of a crime’
    Nope, just an accusation.

  45. Took you guys well over an hour to post this story. Good job on being the slowest news source.

  46. Inevitable, but way overboard. An NFL player, driving under the influence of alcohol and perhaps other stuff, recently ran over and killed someone. He was arrested and served time in jail. He got (I think) 2 games suspension.
Where does the league go from here? Do they start following guys around to see what they are doing on their own time? I am a Steelers fan since 1957, and I consider the guy a total hillbilly moron, but this amounts to a fine of a bit short of $3 million in missed game checks for a “pattern of behavior” that is never described aside from a single incident. Maybe they do have other information, but this sets a precedent that I am shocked the union has no issue with.
Where do they go with the next guy who gets picked up DUI? Or rocking a loaded firearm at the airport?

  47. Ben’ll do what’s required of him and he’ll get his suspension reduced, but I can’t see the Steelers doing better than 1-3 through the first four games without him. (hoping the only thing Carson Palmer “rapes” is opposing defenses…)

  48. so i assume to stay on the safe side and to avoid hypocrisy he will retro-actively suspend Matt Leinhart?
i’ll be diligently awaiting the soon-to-be breaking news.

  49. Damn Roger was pissed at Rapestberger. Ben better get his shit together or next time Roger’s going to really bring the Hammer down on him.
Dude 4-6 games checks, whats is that a couple hundred thousand dollars? A lot of cash for a peice of ass in a dirty bar bathroom. You could have got a discreet high priced call girl for 2-3K and probably better looking. God your a drunk idiot.

  50. Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in his letter to Roethlisberger, “I vas in Austria durink za war!!”

  51. Why stop at 6. If other charges or items come out about more deiviant behavior, he should get more.

  52. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!! THIS in combination with the fact that we get to embarrass the queens AGAIN on opening night has MADE MY WEEK!! BAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  53. Too harsh, I feel bad for the Raperberger. Just bought my wife and daughter matching Big Ben Steeler jerseys- got a good deal.

  54. In related news:
Soccer Players Flogged for Moral Corruption
TEHRAN (Reuters) – Two members of the Iranian national soccer team have received dozens of lashes for “moral corruption,” the state-owned Iran newspaper said Saturday.
It said unnamed players had been identified by videos and photographs found in a raid on an illegal Tehran brothel. One of the players received 170 lashes and the other 70. Six players were given cash fines.
    ========================
Good job Goodell… Death to America.

  55. Where is the condition that allows the suspension to be shortened to 4 games? Or is this assumption based upon ESPN’s previous release?

  56. Could not have happened to a better guy or a better city. Hopefully this will end badly for the Steelers and Steeler fans. Steeler’s suck.
    09=no playoffs
10=no playoffs(but on a lighter note you should be drafting first in the ’11 draft)

  57. BOO. Actually I don’t care, but, a little excessive. It opens the door for more false allegations and unwarranted suspensions on NFL players.

  58. Just shows the league values dogs more than young women, vick- indefinate suspension for dog fighting, Ben gets 6 for raping 2 women.

  59. 6 games… I just that on the NFL channel, and all I can say is ‘wow’. I was honestly expecting 2, since he has never been charged with anything, but I’ll take it. I’d rather have the Ravens beat Pittsburgh with Roethlisbeger at QB (week 4), but I won’t complain if he isn’t going to play either.

  60. Wait a minute, it’s irresponsible to buy underage college chicks alcoholic beverages?!? Crap.

  61. This is not punishment enough. Ben Rapethlisberger seems to have a penchant for “rough” sex and “taking” it from women. He will have future incidences concerning rape I assure you. He cannot kill that desire. Stay tuned, he will re-offend.

  62. eat it up jag offs. this is your only shot at bashing the Steelers because you know its not going to happen on the field.

  63. so contributing to the delinquency of a minor gets you a six game vacation and bank-rolling an illegal multi-state dog fighting ring only gets you two. ok. got it.

  64. 6 games = $5.5 million dollars in salary lost. OUCH!!
Vegas would have been much cheaper since dates are only $15,000 to $20,000.
Plus the girls look much better than the Georgia coed. Ask Tiger.
    Just saying.
    @DrMcTrouble on Twitter

  65. Going forward I would hope that Goodell remains consistent and anytime that any accusations are made toward any NFL player no matter if those accusations are baseless in nature or not, the player being accused must receive the same suspension.

  66. Nice, Goodell. Punish the rapist, UHH ALLEGEDLY, for 6 games, then make him the poster boy of YOUR LEAGUE by playing him in 3 straight PRIMETIME games. “Ben, your behavior is reprehensible, but after your punishment, get ready to make us a ton of money as we use your degenerate @$$ in 3 straight weeks of primetime games”

  67. For all of those Pennsyltuckians who are dismayed and wondering, “what for?” there ya go.
How many of you would appreciate him frolicing around with your very own daughter?
Hopefully he recovers. Man.. I wouldn’t want to show my face right now if I was him.
What’s that comercial….. “Want to get away? Ding.”
    ‘Nation!

  68. Get ready for the “rapist” chants and signs on week 7.
If the NFL thinks everyone is going to forget this, they are higher than Florio on 4/20.
The steelers organization better think long and hard if this is worth the disgrace and distraction to their franchise.

  69. well done Goodall, well deserved. Seems like he is the real deal when he talks about holding players responsible

  70. Must be because he’s white–after all, black guys that were actually proven GUILTY in a court of law got fewer games. I’m all for this guy getting punished–but why less than convicts?

  71. Well, all the Steelers haters got good news….Now, heres the bad news….we will still be a force to contend with, and we will still go to the playoffs, despite the efforts of the voice of god.All you negros can rejoice, a white guy is being punished….The word of a drunk whore is all it takes, so be careful out there, the next one accused could be you!!

  72. So they suspended him for not doing the doorman’s job and carding women he drinks with.
Can of worms has been opened.

  73. The Steelers should of traded a 6st for Jason Campbell so they have competition in camp. Now that price goes up if they want him. JAson Campbell is a legit Starting QB and Leftwich is now a career backup. I like Leftwhich and I’m glad he’s back but would prefer Campbell to challenge Dixon. Go after Campbell and let them fight it out.

  74. About what I expected and Ben will get the benefit of a reduced suspension. The damage he’s done to himself will outweigh any punishment he could have received.

  75. Does anybody remember when this fat idiot rapist came into the league and he tried to talk “ghetto”? He quickly changed his “accent” but his actions never changed. Now his actions are going to bring down one of the top franchises in the NFL. If you are a fan, how can you be supportive of this fool??

  76. I wonder if it is without pay. One would hope so, but even that is a slap on the wrist for sexual assault.

  77. Six games thats a hefty penalty but thats what happens when u mess with the commish …Big Bens time is over in pitt, it wouldnt surprise me to see him in a BILLS Uniform

  78. Goodell is a very estute man, NFL fans should thank him everyday for the job he does! I’ll start: Thank You Roger…

  79. Roethlisberger won’t be traded. Whoever is going on and on with these rumors is just yanking your chain. A real journalist would not deal in these completely unfounded rumors. Sadly there are no real journalist in sports and it is always just a case of the squeaky wheel wanting to get some grease when the “report” outlandish fabrications.
As far as the suspension and required treatment —- This could actually be a good thing for Roethlisberger. Just imagine if he gives up the boozy party life, takes 25 pounds of boozy, bloated fat off of his frame (and another 10 off of his head) and instead actually spends his time watching game film and trying to be a better QB instead of relying on his “Just go out and run around until you get WIDE open” nonthinking man’s guide to quarterbacking.
In all honesty if Roethlisberger truly applied himself to being the best QB he can be the Steelers won’t have to win those typical 13-9 shootouts Roethlisberger leads them to a fourth quarter victory in.

  80. They should smash his balls in a vice then throw his ass out of the league.
He is a sexual predator and should be labeled as such.
All will be forgiven when he returns and then we will all watch and see this will happen again, with predators it always does.
Nice start Godell but too little too late for this scumbag.
Congrats Steeler fans your QB is sexual predator and preys on drunk college age girls.
Glad to be a NFL fan in the Steel city arent you.
I bet if Jack Lambert or Jack Ham were around they kick his dumb hillybilly ass straight.

  81. So the league has to step in and do something the gutless steeler* organization didnt want to do. classic.

  82. It will never become public information, but I would be willing to bet that Goodell and Bright have been working this scenario out since the first few days after the incident occurred. I think they probably had decided on the exact course of events we’ve seen unfold more than a month ago. Once the complainant informed them she did not want to go through the ordeal. Game planned and orchestrated.
Ruthless gets the kick in the ass he deserves, the girl is protected, the county spends no more money on the case, Goodell gets to send his message and Art Part Two enjoys a little of the reflected holier than thou light.

  83. If he wants to make the four game cut he better hire more body guards to distroy all cameras and pictures of him with alcohol and underage girls. This fat piece of scheet is pathetic

  84. LOL.. The highly regarded steel curtin is falling down. Santonio Holmes, Ben Rapelisberger now this. Who would have thought that Pittsburgh leads the AFC north now in a bunch of the wrong things. When will we start to hear that Tomlin can’t manage his team off the field?

  85. By svenhoek :”BS! Lets suspend someone for being found innocent in the eyes of the law.”
He was not found innocent. There was no trial. Also, had you been the 3rd person to accuse Tom Brady of rape, then yes, he would, and should be suspended.

    —————-
Insufficient evidence to prosecute does not equal innocent. Big Ben needed a warning shot across the bow, and finally got it.

  88. Goodell is talking out of both sides of his mouth!! He wants to act like the punisher and suspend players for making the NFL look bad. But low and behold look at the Steelers schedule. First 6 games all 1 PM starts and then 3 straight prime time games just as Ben gets back. But you know he will only be out 4 games, then have 2 weeks to practice with the team (bye week) and come back against the Browns LOL. So first 6 games all 1 PM starts last 10 games 5 prime times games and a 4 PM start. Yeah Goodell way to Punish Big Ben.

  90. @ Svenhoek
Goodall’s statement mentions nothing of the rape charges. It clearly states what he is being suspended for and it makes sense. Whether he is innocent of the rape accusation means nothing. He violated the personal conduct policy regardless of those accusations. Goodall did right here.

he’ll most likely be suspended for the first 4 games because he was found guilty

  92. svenhoek says:
BS! Lets suspend someone for being found innocent in the eyes of the law.
    ———————————————————
Big Ben was NOT found to be innocent. The DA said there wasn’t enough evidence; there’s a difference. As an NFL player that is held to a high standard by his league, what the f**k is he doing trapping a drunk girl in a bar bathroom? If he had done that to my daughter, I’d castrate the bastard myself.

  93. Why do people think that not being convicted in court is the same thing as not being guilty of a crime? Just because there isn’t enough evidence to convict a guy of something (like, I don’t know, raping a chick) doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. Isn’t the justice system designed to err on the side of letting the guilty go free rather than convicting the innocent? In this case, Roethlisberger not getting convicted sounds like a case of the guilty going free.
Looks to me like Big Ben is a sexual predator. What a loser.

  94. Ben is expected to appeal. He wants an additional condition put on his suspension- It states that he gets one free rape between now and then.

    ————————————————
get a clue Steeler honk…if Ben hadnt gotten the chick so drunk should that she couldnt remember anything, his ass would be on trial for rape right now. 6 games (which will be 4 till its over) is a blessing for someone who got away with rape (twice now)

  96. To svenhoek and all the other guys who keep saying things like “Tom Brady raped me yesterday. Suspend him for six games based on the evidence I just gave. That’s what this amounts to.”
Stop and think for a second about the difference. If you can prove that Tom Brady brought you into a bathroom, had one of his buddies block the bathroom so your friends can’t come get you. If on the night everything happened Tom Brady told the cops there was some “sexual contact” and you just bumped your head. Then we’re getting closer to a case.
Bottom line is, if this happened to a normal person without high priced lawyers this would have gone to court. But when Big Ben brings in one of the best and then the girl decides not to press charges all of the sudden this is over. And though Ben would probably win a criminal case which has to prove Beyond a reasonable doubt that the crime happened he would more than likely lose a civil case which is just preponderance of evidence. Why isn’t there a Civil Case yet? Probably because the girl is already cashing her check from Ben. But thats just an assumption.
There is a big difference in what happened that night in Georgia vs. random accusations people will make to get QBs suspsended from games.

  97. svenhoek, dont act like your 13,( unless you are 13) he was suspended for acting a fool and putting the NFL’s name in a crappy light. I love this, it couldn’t happen to a better team. Pittsburg has always pointed the finger at other teams in moral judgement . KARMA – YES

  98. I think he should have gotten a six-game suspension just for the mullet.

So Ben you are a… supplier of booze to minors. In a… bar? Who supposedly, you know, cards everybody before they come in.
So now Ben is responsible for checking IDs at the door.

Most chicks are golddiggers and I feel Ben is being railroaded. Is he a jerk yeah but a rapist clearly he isn’t.

  106. “Tom Brady raped me yesterday. Suspend him for six games based on the evidence I just gave. That’s what this amounts to.”
svenhoek, if ignorance were corn flakes, you’d be General Mills. You demonstrate your woeful ignorance of the many differences between criminal law and the rules of a private organization for which Pig Ben willingly provides his labor for valuable consideration. The NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers are not the government (or vice versa), and they have zero zip nada to do with each other.
Free clue: Nobody is “found innocent” under criminal law, they’re found to be either “not guilty” or “guilty”.
Rapelisberger’s punishment has nothing to do with the government criminal legal system and everything to do with his employer meting out punishment for demonstrated and repeated misconduct on his part. He is of course perfectly free to refuse to accept the punishment he received. (Of course, his employer would then also be perfectly free to can his ass or ship it off to Oakland for doing so).

  108. While fans of other teams and the haters/lynch mob are delighted, this is too harsh. Should not have been more than 2 games max, if that. And I guess Ben needs to ensure he cards anybody he buys drinks for? Interesting, no mention of any sexual activity, only alcohol.
It seems Ben is being made an example of here. Now Goodell has set his precedent, let’s see if he hands out punishment consistently.
So, hopefully Ben behaves, serves a net 4 games, and comes back to take the Steelers to the Super Bowl.
If the Steelers trade him, they will lose a portion of my respect for not supporting someone that helped them succeed in past years and who now needs support and help himself. The Rooneys should not buckle under to media and moron pressure.
Now let it all die down, gone on too long.
    GO STEELERS!!

  109. The media witch hunt against BR is why the suspension is 6 games. If this was truly about him providing alcohol to minors then it would have been 2 games max. Goodell’s letter states the following:
“I recognize that the allegations in Georgia were disputed and that they did not result in criminal charges being filed against you. My decision today is not based on a finding that you violated Georgia law, or on a conclusion that differs from that of the local prosecutor.”
The DA stated he couldn’t even find ‘Probable Cause’ from their month long investigation. Since Goodell indictes that his review (and the NFL legal team I’m sure) does not arrive at a different conclusion then it must be concluded that, based on FACTS/Not Drunk witness statements that weren’t in the room, BR is not guilty of anything other than providing alcohol to minors (Which he didn’t even pay for – See the troopers statement) and being an idiot. I wouldn’t have had any issue with 2-Game suspension but this sets a dangerous standard for subsequent ‘Accusations’ against NFL players. If someone accuses Drew Brees of something and nothing happens then the Steelers and Ben can and should cry foul.
Plain and simple: Goodell responded to the outcries of the fans, which were directly influenced by a media that was dredging up website hits by publishing one side of the story. It is a shame that this country is so blinded by the press that they’ve lost their own ability to think and reason.

  110. Funny all the Shitsburgh Rape’n’herburger supporters out there.
Must be hard living a life where your biggest concern is that your team will be in the hole with your QB suspended for 4-6 games.

  114. @ nflqb – Goodell doesn’t have a hardon for Ben.
Ben has a hardon for women who have no witnesses and/or are completely smashed beyond recognition. Ben know these things, combined with the fact he has copious amounts of money, will get him out of any charges. But the court of public opinion is aware of this, and the league doesn’t like the black eye it’s getting. Thus the 6 (4) game suspension for “providing alcohol to minors”

  115. Anyone defending fatty should head over to thesmokinggun and read the actual documents pertaining to this case and other incidents where he tried taking advantage of other women.
    This gem was particularly funny:
“I’m not down to f*ck, but I like to f*ck girls,” Roethlisberger replied, according to a police report.

  116. Six games for he said, she said is a little harsh. He raped her but, left no DNA while the door was being blocked by off duty police officers. OK. Did he rape you? NO Did you have sex? MAYBE. MAYBE. She couldn’t remember having sex with a guy 6’5 260 lbs. It all came back to her later. Riiight.

  117. The only thing better than Rapenstein getting his just desserts is the waning fraction of Steelernation whining their collective asses off, crying foul!
Keep defending him folks. Some of us are really, really enjoying it.

  118. POS should have received…8 games this year and any playoff games for the next 3 years.
This punishment would have surely sent him to the Bengals or Raiders….where he belongs !!!
If this would have been my daughter, I would have K-Y ‘d a football, and jammed it up his ass !!

  119. Sooooooo…he’s suspended for buying underage teenagers alcohol and not for raping two chicks?
    ***************
If Goodell had of mentioned the sexual assault allegations, he would be setting the NFL up for a massive lawsuit from Roethlisberger for slander and/or defamation of character. Roethlisberger was never charged, much less convicted, with anything to do with the sexual assault of anyone outside the Court of Public Know-Nothings.
BTW: The alleged victim was not a “teenager” – she was 20 years old. Additionally, that makes her a woman up here in Canada and the rest of the progressive thinking world.

  120. Hey Jonrox you douche, first of all spell his name right. MAUALUGA. Second of all, there was no proof he supplied the alcohol. He didn’t have a drinking binge in the VIP of a club and didn’t have his bodyguards inviting underage college girls into the VIP with him. AND neither girl said anything about Ray doing anything to them sexually or whatever. Ben is a rapist and finally got some kind of discipline for it. Ben was well known at Miami of Ohio for being this way and was also known for it in High School. But in both of those instances he wasn’t discipline b/c of who he was. Now he finally got his and will continue to get it once he’s traded to the Raiders. I love it!!!!!

Or, more likely, you’re another Steelers fan who cares more about winning, and less about right and wrong.
Frankly, I think Rapenstein got off lightly, as he easily have been charged with rape. I can’t wait for the civil suit!

  122. So he got suspended. That’s what everyone wanted (including most Steelers fans).
Are we going to move on or would the Steelers haters like to ponder for the next few months whether it will be 4 or 6 games? Because I don’t think I’ve heard “rapistberger” or “your season is over” or “he’s guilty” enough.
If there is one thing I can say about Steelers haters it’s that they sure know how to say the same thing over and over and over. Can you guys please come up with some new words instead of simply copying and pasting?

  123. It’s past time someone acted to save this idiot from himself. And in the long run, if he learns from the experience, he’ll be better off for it.
But I’d prefer this had come from the Steelers because Goodell simply caved to race-baiting. Pacman Jones had three years of arrests, convictions, and guilty pleas, and was involved in two shootings before receiving his first league suspension. Goodell didn’t mention sexual assault because, despite the melodramatic outcries of the uninformed majority, there’s no actual evidence of assault.
Most of the responses so far are typical of team fans annoyed at the mud on their tires and rival fans thrilled at getting a pound of flesh. Despite all the moralizing, no one really seems all that interested in the facts or human beings involved.

Thirdly, no you won’t be going back to the Super Bowl this year or any year soon cause your franchise QB is getting run out of town. And lastly, he’s being punished because A. he bought drinks for minors, no mater if the club let them in or not; B. He was bar-hopping the entire night with this same girl that accused him; C. he brought this girl with him from bar to bar. this means he was either plying her with drinks or she had access to drinks in his VIP area. So yes, Big Ben isn’t a perfect little angel like you Steeler homers will believe.

  125. @mjh01210 …
The rape statutes in Georgia aren’t anymore friendly to defendants than those of any other state. Instead of making inane proclamations about Georgia law, try reviewing the evidence:
    1. Negative rape kit. Difficult to prosecute a rape with no evidence a rape occurred.
    2. A speck of male DNA so tiny it couldn’t be tested. You only need a miniscule amount of DNA for testing so this had to be one tiny speck.
    3. An accuser who said multiple times she was not raped before saying she was.
    4. An accuser who was out of sight only 10 minutes and no witnesses to events occurring during that time.
    5. Multiple witnesses saying the accuser followed him from bar to bar, SAID she was “down to f–k” as well as wearing the DTF pin, and engaged in two-way sexual conversation with him all evening.
You run that by prosecutors in any state and see how many would have gone to trial with no forensic evidence, no witnesses, and an accuser with so little credibility.

    Associated Press
INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts president Bill Polian says the team will not discipline defensive tackle Eric Foster, who faces a sexual assault lawsuit.
A 22-year-old hotel receptionist is suing Foster, claiming that he sexually assaulted her in his room at an Indianapolis hotel before the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 24.
Polian said Wednesday that the team has no reason to discipline Foster because police investigated the incident and prosecutors later decided not to file charges.
He says Foster remains with the team and will participate in its offseason program.

  135. As a Ravens fan, I love the rivalry between the two teams. It is a shame Ben had to be so stupid, I like the teams at full strength. That being said, I thought Dixon played very well against us last year and I think teams will be surprised if they think the Steelers are not going to be good without Ben. I for one think the Ravens – Steelers games will be very close like always. Both teams are stronger then one player and both will battle it out for the AFC north again this year with the added challenge of the Bengals. Lets now move on to the draft!

  136. Sucks hes white. Because that is what the suspension comes down to. They want to make an “example”. I think if he were black it would be less time suspended not really sure why though? So these other idiots saying hes white he gets off with nothing blah blah is full of it.

  137. I cna’t help but laugh at you guys who keep coming up with these scenarios about how the commish will use this to just suspend guys after ANY accusation.
Let’s get real here: the commish DIDN’T suspend him just based on an accusation. If it was just another false claim, I don’t think that the commish even bothers talking about this and let’s the Rooneys sweep it under the rug, if they want or suspend them, if they choose. The fact is that he got away with it and most of you know that but many of you won’t admit it in public. Based on all the information that he saw and what reports he got back from the NFL security people who went down there to Georgia, he made the decision to suspend him. Ben has embarrassed the NFL twice but the last one went a lot further than the first, which I beleive to be a bunch of bull on the part of the woman.
If someone goes out and tries to make false claims against the players, you can bet that it will take an investigation in order to get the guy suspended. If it turns out that the claims were false, I don’t think that anything will be done but if they get off because of botched investigaions and there appears to be smoke, you can bet that there will be something coming down. Of course, by the time that happens, the game that YOU want him to be suspended from, will already have been played. Plan ahead next time…:^

  138. @themag78 …
    Your post is factually inaccurate.
According to multiple witnesses, the sorority sisters followed Ben’s party from bar to bar, pinching him and trying to get his attention. They were buying their own drinks during this period. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the security tape showed they entered the final club some time after Roethlisberger. The club, which was responsible for ascertaining their ages, let them in. The DA said the group included women who were over and under 21. He said Roethlisberger bought rounds for the room, which were sat on the table for whoever wanted them. The women CHOSE to drink them. He said the accuser and Ben were engaged in MUTUAL sexual conduct and conversation all evening and witnesses said she TOLD HIM she was “down to f–k.”
I don’t think Ben is any kind of angel. He’s an immature jackass who behaves like a frat boy. But there is no credible evidence of sexual assault and that woman is as responsible for her sleazy behavior that night as he is.

  142. To all the Stallworth and Vick mentions they both were suspended INDEFINITLY.
To the guy worried about Eric Foster There is no history this action in Fosters’ past.
To all the Steeler fans still defending Ben. The guy has been accused repeatedly ( not just the 2 times that gained national attention) of sexual assualt. As for the suspension, trust Goddell had investigators in Georgia as well as, Ohio looking into claims of indecency.
Also Goddell knows that anything less than 4 games would result in a few of the “employees” of this league to have problem with the way this thing was handled. Pacman Jones was NEVER found guilty of anything but, his continued assault on the NFL’s IMAGE is what got him susspended in the end.

  143. Hey Frankie… from the NY Times:
“The doctor and nurses collected a standard rape evidence kit. Initial testing found male DNA, although the emergency room doctor found no evidence of semen, Bright said. Further testing was done, but he said a DNA profile could not be obtained because the sample was so small. ”
Combine this with all of the other evidence, including “vaginal brusing and bleeding” would leave most people to believe that Rapenstein struck again.
So you can take Big Ben’s poster off of your bedroom ceiling and come back to reality when you’re ready.

  144. let’s go back to the Vick case, and this time instead of Vick being Charged and convicted of the crime of dogfighting let us assume that he was only ever just accused of such a thing and the prosecuter had refused to pursue the matter due to a lack of evidence supporting the allegations…If that had been the case, does anyone beleive that Vick would have received any disciplanry action whatesoever from the NFL????

  147. Here is another people tend to forget. The first cop they ran into was one that had his picture taken with Ben. He is also the one that quit his job so that he would not get fired. He is also the one that took her statement.
As for the dumass that thinks this is racial because Ben GOT suspended….. You too are a dumass. If Ben had not been suspended that would have been a racial issue. I again point to the fact that Pacman Jones was never CONVICTED of anyhthing but ACCUSED of everything. Most charges against him where dropped due to LACK OF EVIDENCE. Is he an idiot YES INDEED. Ben has been accused of the same incident several times throughout HIS LIFE not just these last 2 times. His actions are no less than all the accusations Mike Tyson endoured during his heyday. The only difference is Ben has not been accused of outright rape YET.
If this guy is smart he will find himself a nice god fearing whore to pay 3 amybe 4 times her usual asking price to dress up like a school girl so he can have his liberties with her all the while looking for little Miss Muffett to marry so that he won’t have to go to prison. The precident is already set. If he indeed is a target for a girl to get paid his ticket to prison is already punched he just needs to pick her up.

  148. Ben had no charges brought against him. That means he was found to be innocent of the crime in the eyes of the law. Not whether he did it or not, just that as far as the law is concerned, he is innocent.

  149. gosh some of you people are so clever with your nicknames for Ben and Pittsburgh. You must all have pHd’s.
Can we please tralk about the draft now that this shitstorm is over?

  150. @eaglelover1 …
Where do you get that Pacman Jones was never convicted of anything? Obviously you’ve never checked his record. He received several sentences over a three-year period before being suspended. Now I hate to break it to you, Mr. Rocket Scientist, but you don’t get sentenced unless 1. you are convicted or 2. you plead guilty. Check your facts, genius.

  151. @Poo Flinging Monkey …
You can have vaginal bleeding and bruising from consensual sex and from other sexual activity (such as rough, groping hand contact). No one doubts that sexual contact occurred. The question is whether it was rape. The DA also said the rape kit could not confirm intercourse. Since the allegation was vaginal rape, the absence of intercourse would negate the allegation.
Ben’s behavior that night was abominable. But so was the behavior of the woman who willingly chased him from bar to bar, willingly drank herself into oblivion, willingly told him straight out that she was “down to f–k,” willingly–according to the DA–engaged in MUTUAL sexual conversation and conduct with him all night. This is an issue of personal responsibility. As the DA said, there is plenty of blame to go around to both of them for events that night. She is as responsible for her sleazy behavior as he is. She is not a victim.

  152. Deb…like I told you a month ago, ben will need/be required to get “professional” help. I believe it was you that argued that he did not/would not and told me I was being silly…..one more inaccurate statement by you….just thought I would point it out since I noticed you doing the same on here to others…..

  153. Deb, it’s sad. You’re obviously pretty intelligent (a rarity here), but you and a few of your Steelers brethren cannot be reasoned with. Enjoy your delusion.

  154. Thank God we have an NFL commissioner with managerial courage to stand up and NFL players accountable. Ben’s suspension is appropriate for the gravity of what occurred (though the exact truth may never be known-unless Ben has an Oprah confessional).
That said, to call him a ‘rapist’ is slanderous and unfair-he has not been convicted of rape. Is he guilty of sexual contact with a drunk co-ed in a bar bathroom? Absolutely-and the whole circumstance of the situation suggests that Ben will not win the United Way Citizen of the Year award. Call it for what it is, and avoid judgemental labels that may not be true.
Being a Steelers fan, I am glad to see Ben get suspended and hope they can find a trade partner to get him out of there-the ‘smoke’ about the Steelers looking for a trade more than likely has a bonfire behind it.

  155. You Steelers fans are so dense — nobody else wants your trash. Trade partner? Are you out of your minds? If you think his broken ass is going to fetch a first rounder, you’re kidding yourselves only.

Ben isn’t leaving Pittsburgh. Its all good haters.

  158. @Ravenmaniac …
I’ve was wrong, and on that issue, I apologize. I knew he had an ego problem, but kept stubbornly looking at each issue separately on the evidence rather than as a pattern. Despite the flailing of PFTers, there is no credible evidence of rape. You can’t just consider statements by accusers. You also have to read the Nevada court filings that contradict McNulty, the willing participation of the Georgia woman in initiating a sexual encounter, and that a woman supposedly upset by the sight of his penis went back for another party the next week.
The issue isn’t a pattern of sexual abuse–and that’s why Goodell didn’t mention that allegation. It’s a pattern of reckless disregard for appropriate behavior and what’s in his own interest. Riding sans helmet, hosting a frat party with an assault suit pending, getting involved with skanky women, slobbering on every woman he meets, making racist comments to waiters, being rude to fans. But others shake their heads and say that’s not the Ben they know. That Jekyll/Hyde element could indicate alcohol abuse or bipolar disorder–which often go hand in hand. So the one bright spot is the insistence that he get a behavioral evaluation, and I hope, appropriate treatment. You were right.

  159. I can hear Florio’s heart breaking from here.
You know whats even better then that? A few weeks ago when trade talk started to happen about Ben Florio named about 10 teams who were going to be burning up the Steelers phones trying to acquire Ben. Like it was a done deal. Well now according to nfl.com and espn no one wants him.
Which is what I said would happen when he first made that comment. I dont get how he doesnt understand that no one wants a rapist on there team. Ben is the most hated player in the NFL. He makes Vick look like a choir boy.
Im sure the Steelers will find someone to take him. But they will get nowhere near as much return as they want. The guy is a pariah and the Steelers would be better off just cutting the cord.

Just like the refs butchered the game last year when the Steelers beat the Packers. Oh wait, no – that was because of the Packers god awful kicker.

  164. I Pray that the Leftwich/Batch/Dixon led Steelers go 6-0 that way they will be more inclined to cut or trade this idiot to NFL purgatory.
This is 1 time I hope the NFL owners do some sort of collision to keep this idiot from ever starting another game in the NFL.

  165. @poo flinging monkey …
Thanks for the compliment to my intelligence. But if one of us is sad, delusional, and incapable of reason … it’s probably the one playing with poo.

  166. Deb…I am just messing with ya.
I am glad the guy is getting some help. I hope he takes advantage of it and does not mess up again.

sorry, steelers fans – as much as you’d hoped, the NFL still isn’t with you on the whole supporting-rape thing.
maybe next time? (james harrison, i’m looking at you…)
    *******************************************
From my perspective, all of the morons on this board who were hoping that Roethlisberger would get suspended, either implicitly or explicitly, also likely hoped that the rape actually occurred so as to have evidence that would keep him from playing. In theory, if inconclusive evidence HAD arose showing that rape did not occur and news got about this, there would be no basis for punishment, including suspension. Therefore, the only alternative, in the absence of knowing what happened, was to hope that it happened – that is, to hope that some girl got raped by a football player that you can’t stand.
To me, that’s more disgusting than anything else.

  168. @Matt
Well said. The people clamoring for Ben’s suspension were thinking about it on a football level. Not many people on these boards could care less about the girl. Now that you have said that comment you will have plenty of people claiming that they do care about the girl, or don’t care about football in this situation.
I don’t think any impartial observer can look at this and say that this is fair to suspend someone from their job for not being charged with a crime. People will say they are cooperations have every right to do this, and they do. That, however, is the problem. We all laughed at that moron that insulted his boss on his twitter and got fired but if you really think about it someone got fried for voicing an opinion out of the office. Cooperations are the biggest threat to our freedom. How long before someone says on their twitter “I sure hope Obama wins the election” and gets fired by their conservative boss because she is an “at will employee.” Plenty of people are smiling at this rape (although the girl in Georgia didn’t accuse him of rape) case because it means a player they don’t like got suspended but when your player says in public “Christians are stupid” and he gets suspended it wont be as funny. Or when he says “I think Obama-care is stupid” and will be less funny. Then he will just have to keep his opinions to him self, which will be tough because there are cameras everywhere.

  169. I think it funny all of the steeler fans that when they heard the pobbibility of trading ben….everyone said…it is going to take a #1 this year and a #1 next year to get him…too funy.
The steelers are ready to package their #18 with ben for possibly the raiders #8.
As I said before, no one wants ben. The only possibility will probably be the raiders. Still, I would be shocked if he gets traded at all this year.
This has gone from sad to pathetic!

I hope so, too. Good thing you caught me on this thread tonight. I see Florio has two more provocative Roethlisberger stories up, and in one he’s salivating that “this story won’t be wrapping up any time soon.” It has for me.

  171. SteelScorpio says:
“Funny thing is if Ben was black and received this suspension, the same individuals who have been screaming racism would still be screaming racism only now they would be screaming it because a black man got suspended without ever being charged with a crime.”
I’m calling Steelerism. If this was Tom Brady or Peyton Manning they would get 10 hours community service and a new contract.

  172. Oh and I love how everyone wants to take an exaggerated statement made for comedic value as if it were a serious statement when it highlights the ridiculousness of a situation they happen to agree with.

  173. @Deb,
BOW DOWN and say you were wrong for saying stupid ramblings such as “Name one player suspended with no charges.” BEN ROETHLISBERGER! Now you got your answer you stupid Biatch!
Goodell didn’t have to mention sexual anything. Just him saying behavorial counseling says it all! Now he’s barred from the facilities and everything else till he goes through the process.
Why don’t you go out with him and you get molested. You seem to LOVE him so much. You probably have DTF tattoo’d on your butt.
Also, read another article on PFT. It specificly reads that the Steelers are actively trying to trade him. Geez, a poor team like the Bills said no flat out to the Rooneys. That speaks volumes!
I’d sell his a$$ out for a $1.00 and a stick of gum!

  174. @Deb: You went out on a limb just two days ago and said you were “99 percent sure” Roethlisberger would be suspended.
You’ve been pretty much wrong throughout this entire fiasco, starting with defending Roethlisberger’s character, saying that he and his boys were just out innocently sight-seeing the night in question.
You’re now calling Roethlisberger a “jackass.” Wrong again. This guy is a certified creep.
All of your alledged research and horrifying rape stories have netted you nothing in this case. Your crusade to “Free Ben” has been a big bust.
And now, at the end of the day, you’re still not honorable enough to admit being wrong.
    Typical liberal.

You aren’t even a good troll. The smart posters ( and I never claimed to be smart) here pay you no mind because you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. The real trolls ignore you because you try wayyyy too hard to gain acceptance. At least the Ravens fans ( some of them) can enjoy a decent debate. You however just pile on whatever topic the majority is on about and whoever is being flamed so you can be part of something.
Did the cute football player in high school ignore you? Had to join the color guard because the cheerleaders didn’t want you? SOMETHING had to happen to make you miserable. I honestly don’t care what it was, or how miserable you are, but without an ignore feature here you immediatly lower the bar for quality, so STOP POSTING PLEASE.

  176. It’s official: “Poo Flinging Monkey” is now the most hater-biased moron on this board.
    And that’s saying something.
Hey Einstein — no less an authority than Dr. Cyril Wecht found it “puzzling” that the examiners wouldn’t be able to recover even a “nanogram” of genetic material in a case where full-on sexual intercourse had allegedly occurred. In fact, it would be damned-near impossible.
This shoots down the alleged victim’s story right there.
From your own NT Times report you quoted:
“Initial testing found male DNA, although the emergency room doctor found no evidence of semen..”
Yet again — the victim didn’t charge finger-feeling or anything, she charged full-on (forced) intercourse. And yet not a single “nanogram” of DNA could be found afterwards?
    Ruh-roh!
You whine about others having no sense of reason, yet you can’t be reasoned with — because you have no ability TO reason, blinded as you are with your anti-Steeler, anti-Ben bias.

  177. @bobzilla …
I called Ben a jackass the first week this story broke. I don’t believe a mental health professional has certified him anything.
I said after Art II’s press conference I was 99 percent sure the Steelers intended to suspend Roethlisberger. I couldn’t go out on a limb and give a read on what Art II might be planning until after Art II made his statement.
This is a football site. This is a football story. Your constant political references are yet another demonstration of your immaturity.
My research was into the facts of the case, which haven’t changed. Since the facts of the case haven’t changed, my opinion on them hasn’t changed. My rape story is part of my life history. That hasn’t changed either.
I haven’t been trying to “net” anything for myself. Interesting comment. What have you been trying to “net” for yourself?

  178. @RebaT …
I’m discussing criminal-justice and due-process issues. You’re screeching vulgar rubbish because you don’t like a football player. I’ve met other women like you, broken down by too much alcohol and too much bitterness and looking for someone else to blame for their sorry life choices. You’re what that Georgia girl will be in 45 years if this episode doesn’t scare some sense into her. You’d probably sell yourself for a $1.00 and a stick of gum.

True compassion from a rape “survivor”.
Here’s a clue, Deb. Criminal justice and due process mean jack shit when it comes to suspensions handed down by the league office. Goodell doesn’t need a guilty plea, a conviction, a preponderence of the evidence or the lack of reasonable doubt. That’s just the way it is. I suggest you accept it and look forward to week 6.

  181. @Bdrunk
I don ‘t post here for people to like or accept what I say.
What that said, why don’t you go get drunk and get ANOTHER DUI. Nice character, low life. You have to climb up 4 flights of stairs to get to the roto-router man! You are beyond pathetic. Why don’t you and Deb meet and you can molest her since you seem to like it so much.

Well, you said you have met a woman with alcohol, etc. That damn well wasn’t me. I don’t drink. You really should be looking at a reflection of yourself in a mirror about beaten down (a nothing woman). You have so many people against you on the board you are beyond uneducated and pathetic. It’s too bad we don’t meet in person. Read into that what you want too because that’s ALL you do. Your rape story is a bunch of LIES. I can’t stop laughing about how many of YOUR postings which read “How many players have been suspended that wasn’t charged?” MORON. Just Goodell saying what he did that he can displine with or without charges was PRICELESS. It shut your ignorant mouth shut about that, didn’t it? LMAO Due processes under your comments of criminal activity doesn’t matter to the NFL. And, where did you get YOUR law degree, University of Disney World? You may be due a refund on that degree as you learned NOTHING.
Go stick your head in the toilet and flush. Steeler-lady doesn’t even have the guts to post anymore. Learn that method!

  183. RebaT …
It doesn’t take guts to post anonymously on a football board, you poor delusional woman. And I don’t change my principles because a crazy woman throws Internet tantrums, because the majority is for or against me, or because the NFL commissioner disagrees with my position. I believe people are innocent until proved guilty … even people whose lifestyles I find disgusting.
So if you were accused of a crime, I would feel EXACTLY the same about you that I feel about Roethlisberger. Even though I showed you kindness when others were attacking your rape story, while you’ve thrown dung at me … even though you’re a mean, pathetic, thoroughly unlikeable shrew and everything I’m writing is going over your head … I’d still wait to see credible evidence before making a judgment about your guilt. And I wouldn’t argue against your being sentenced when you hadn’t been charged or convicted.

  184. @jimicos …
Guess you’ve missed all RebaT’s dozens of vicious comments to me these past four weeks–including the one to which I was responding. Most of the time, I’ve ignored her and tried to turn the other cheek. This time I didn’t. But I’ve never claimed to be a saint.
Being raped is not like getting a visit from Tinker Bell. The experience doesn’t leave you sprinkled with fairy dust so that suddenly you can fly, are overflowing with compassion for all womankind, and never again post anything sarcastic on a blog. That’s why even if we could arrange for you to be raped, it wouldn’t stop you from making snarky posts about other rape survivors.
Here’s a clue, jimicos. Suspensions by the league office mean jack shit when it comes to my ideals of criminal justice and due process. Football commissioners have no business trying to legislate morality. And this stuff has been going on among NFL players since the days of leather helmets. Suspending Ben Roethlisberger may help Ben. I hope so. It won’t do anything to change the the behavior of anyone else in the league. That’s just the way it is. I suggest you accept it and look forward to the next arrest.

  185. Oops, RebaT, I meant I WOULD argue against your being sentenced when you hadn’t been charged or convicted. Freudian slip. Since you’ve invited half of PFT to molest me, I can’t help thinking a cage might be the best place for someone as sick as you are. But given the wild variations in the coherence of your posts, I’m sure some sort of … institutionalization isn’t far off.

  187. Deb,
You’ve shown NO kindness on this board. If that’s kindness, you just got out of jail! All you have written is purely drivel. The law is this, the law is that… BULL! You wouldn’t know kindness if it sneeked up on you! You are the most long winded saying nothing “Thing”, not even a human being. You type NOVELS just to see your name on the board. I’m delusional? Honey, look in the mirror you stupid whore because that’s ALL you see. PLEASE go meet Ben and let him do what he’s done to these poor girls. You deserve it… hands down. Also proof read through the postings that are against you now. Pathetic.
One thing to learn, men in general are stupid. Men pay for sex everyday of their lives. Whether they are married or they are single they pay for it. Trust me, the wife holds out till she wants something – or the man gives in to keep from hearing her go on and on about something. See? MEN are stupid. I expect dumbass postings from them. Half of them don’t even know football!

  188. @RebaT …
The kindness was in taking your rape story at face value and showing you some sympathy … even though you’ve called me a liar, every filthy name in the book, and repeatedly told me you hope I get molested. You’re the one who started calling me out, Reba. I never said anything to you until you did–and ever responding to a nut like you was a mistake. You’re a shrieking vulgar shrew who hates men and goes berserk at having anyone disagree with her. Well, life is full of disappointments. You’re just going to have to learn to suck them up. From now on, when I see your user name, I’ll just skip to the next post. I suggest that if my “novels” bother you, then you should skip my posts as well.
