Stan Kroenke, the minority owner of the Rams who may soon purchase the whole team, says he wants to keep the team in St. Louis.
“I’m going to attempt to do everything that I can to keep the Rams in St. Louis,” Kroenke told Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in a phone interview Tuesday night. “Just as I did everything that I could to bring the team to St. Louis in 1995. I believe my actions speak for themselves.”
Kroenke’s conversation with Miklasz was his first interview since he said he wanted to buy the 60 percent of the team he doesn’t already own, and his comments suggest that he wants the support of St. Louis fans.
But Kroenke didn’t offer many details of his business dealings, and he wouldn’t comment on the report that what he had asked Shahid Khan for a “mid- to high-eight-figure fee” in exchange for Kroenke not exercising his right of first refusal on Khan’s bit for 60 percent of the team.
All Kroenke would say is that he’s committed to the Rams playing in St. Louis.
“I’ll do my damnedest,” he said.

Did Kroenke charge Miklaz a “mid-to-high-eight-figure fee” to get that fluffed up interview?

Agree with the primary sentiment, if not the whole post. I’ve never been to MO (don’t count connecting flights), so I won’t disparage the state, but I’d like to see the Rams back where they belong.
They’re going to be terrrrrrible for quite some time to come, but with any luck (and new ownership) they’ll be approaching decent by the time the honeymoon period is on the wane.
Oh, and those dark, depressing uniforms have got to go.
