Jets pick up another cornerback

With Darrelle Revis already in the fold and Antonio Cromartie arriving via trade, the Jets have added to their strength by adding another cornerback with the 29th pick in round one of the 2010 draft.

They have picked Boise State’s Kyle Wilson.

The Browns reportedly were wrestling with the question of whether to take Haden or Kyle Wilson with the seventh overall pick.

Jets are gonna be scary next season. With their seondary they will be able to pin their ears back and attack.

Incredible. You can never have enough talent at CB, this was such a great pick by the Jets. I’m officially scared now :~O

seems to be allot of teams adding to a strength (or in Denvers case adding to mediocre volume) instead of filling weaknesses.

AFC better start loading up on RB’s, there’s not going to be anything throwing on the Jets.

How was this guy still around at 29? An even better question is, why didn’t the Pats take him?

As A lion’s fan, I’m burned and bitter about this pick. Gah … I hoped lions would have traded up to get Wilson, and instead get an unity prone RB

Wont ever allow another recieving yard. Sweet Jesus, im pumped

This wasn’t one of the positions I would’ve said we should use our first round pick on, but this kid being there at 29 was a steal. Should make Sanchez a great passer if he’s gotta throw on these guys in practice. Now I want to see the Jets grab a DE and a safety, maybe a guard. I can’t imagine the Jets going with OLB, they’ve got Taylor, Pace and Thomas now. I guess the problem with that is the rotation would involve Gholston… It would be sad for a mid round pick this year to out perform a top 10 pick with two years experience in the league though.

Rex Ryan is going to make Baltimore pay so badly for tossing him toe the curb to hire John Harbaugh.
That openeing Monday Night game is not going to be close at all.
    Prepare for the slaughter.

All we need now is a DE and a blocking TE and we can book our trip to Dallas for the Super Bowl!

JETS defense is going to insane next season. Wow!

As a Jets fan, I wanted Odrick so bad, but I can’t be disappointed with this pick. Wilson should only add to an already impressive secondary. Now I have to hope that Odrick won’t be as good as I think he’ll be.

Not the sexy Name Pick. But the right pick, Jets took the best player available.
Wilson is a better prospect than Kindle, Mays & Hughes.
I can ‘t believe he fell to 29, oh by the way, best punt returner in college football last year!
    Returned 3 TD’s.
Hope we can get the same value, DE/DT with our 2nd rd pick

I wasn’t expecting this but WOW what a great pick! I really can’t imagine any other team allowing LESS passing yards this season.

Basically a steal at damn near 2nd round. Should come at quite a bargain as well.

HAHAHAHA ok…..when we open your stadium with a Ravens ‘W’ you can call Jerry Jones and discuss how opening /closing stadium games should NEVER involve the Ravens as we always crash the party…

great pick for the jets here

  24. JetChris says: Apr 23, 2010 8:55 AM

Hands down, Jets now have the best secondary in football…Wilson is a beast!!! His instincts are great and for a guy of his size, he is smart. Good break away speed a bit slow in recovery but he makes up for it.
Not the pick I was thinking as Hughes was there but a great pick nonetheless..
Where do you throw now as a QB on the Jets? NO WHERE!!!!

Welcome to the best defense in the National Football League, Kyle Wilson. You’ll fit in just fine.

Everyone: “This is a pass first league…”
Rex Ryan: “Not if i have anything to say about it.”

  27. HellRelle24 says: Apr 23, 2010 10:22 AM

great pickup…good luck not running on the jets hahahaha

  28. JEsTerS says: Apr 24, 2010 9:52 AM

It is a pass first league. 60% of the times teams are in the Nickle.
