Last week, video emerged of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones making unflattering remarks regarding Tim Tebow and Bill Clinton. In Jones’ defense, he didn’t know he was being recorded, and he possibly was a little lubricated.
On Thursday night, neither potential excuse applied. Then again, we don’t know what beverages they serve in the war room.
At a press conference after the Cowboys traded up to nab receiver Dez Bryant, whose stock fell due in part to concerns regarding chronic tardiness.
“We had a president that couldn’t get there on time a lot, Bill Clinton,” Jones said, per Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com. “Seriously. But boy, when he got there, he brought the wood.”
Or, as the case may be, the cigar.
Hey-o! We’ll be here all night. Literally.

“Maybe he’s just an owner getting senile in his old age.”
—-Al Davis
If I had to say, however, I’d rather hear comments like this instead of cookie-cutter ones from owners that have the JeMarcus Russell disease.

hey-o???? Now your taking Howard Sterns words? What a clepto
hahaha, the cigar, that’s funny
Well that didn’t take long
“Jerry Jones comes Dez Bryant to Bill Clinton”
I thought that title was much more comical.
he sure brought his “wood”
I thought the joke would go more along the lines of Dez leaving spots on a hooker’s dress in the White House.
The White House in Dallas, not in D.C.
ZING!
A guy I work with is a Cowboy fan, and was loving the pick. I told him to wait until he gets busted doing lines off of a hooker’s ass, to which he said, “He has never had a drug problem.”
My response was, “Give it time. He has only been a Cowboy for 18 hours.”
DOUBLE ZING!!
HaHa! Good one Florio!! And to BLUEMOONER, that saying has been around for a while.
Jerry Jones is the walking “tower of babble”.
Ridiculous comparison. Everyone knows Bill Clinton’s twice as black as Dez Bryant.

So he called him a cheater? Very fitting that he now plays for the 1-6Boys. Only other team he could have played for is the patriots.
BIG HUNGRY SAYS
TOLD YA TO DRAFT DEZ BRYANT
If you can get past Jones’ simple way of speaking, he makes a valid point. Bill Clinton had some glaring, embarrassing flaws, but was effective at what was really important in his job. Jones hopes he can say the same about Bryant someday, just as he can say today about Michael Irvin.
LOL @ Franchise’s comment

I love Howard but this is from “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson.
Ed McMahon used to say it on the show.
