As it turns out, Chris Hovan isn’t the only defensive tackle that the Bucs are shopping. Per Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times (via JoeBucsFan.com), defensive tackle Ryan Sims is available via trade as well.
Both players started each game in 2009 for the Buccaneers, and both were one-time first-round draft picks.
Signed through 2012, Sims is due to earn a base salary of $1.375 million this year.

Sims stinks.
He never lived up to his promise here in KC. BUSTTTT
Isn’t Sims the former 1st rd. bust of the Chiefs?
Yeah, good luck trading him.
If we can get hog dog for that guy i’ll be happy, obviously i doubt it.
Get rid off Simms and kept Hovan as a mentor for the young guys.
So far i like what the bucs are doing.
Sims sucks, he’s lazy and wasn’t anywhere near as talented as the hype lead us to believe.
this guy is less then a turd …..a RB might trip on a turd and not run free into the secondary. Sims is slow and can’t tackle he was serviceable before not anymore.
I still can’t believe KC got anything in trade for Sims.
Chiefs fans froth at the mouth when Ryan Sims is mentioned.
The Bucs already unloaded one stiff D-end to the Bears (Gaines Adams) for a second round pick, I hope they don’t contact our goofy GM Jerry Angelo so they can fleece us again.
stud player.
yeah good luck getting anything for hovan or sims they are both past their primes if they even had one… mccoy and price should have us fans excited for this year and hopefully give white time to rush off the edge and give crowder a chance to make some plays
