Vikings agree to terms with ten undrafted free agents

We won’t pass along all 300+ undrafted free agent signings because they aren’t all interesting.

But when a team is nice enough to group all their undrafted free agents in one big group, we’d be selfish not to pass that list along.  So here goes.

The Vikings agreed to terms with ten undrafted free agents, according to Judd Zuldad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

Quarterback R.J. Archer of William & Mary, wide receiver Ray Small of Ohio State, guard Thomas Austin, Clemson; tackle Matt Hanson, Midwestern State; center Tommy Hernandez, UC-Davis, wide receiver Aaron Rhea, Stephen F. Austin; strong safety Terrell Skinner, Maryland; wideout Kelton Tindal, Newberry; cornerback Angelo Williams, Ferris St; tackle Marlon Winn, Texas Tech.

Ray Small will convert to Defensive Back Austin and Skinner also \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
70% of these picks turn the Vikes Pass Defense into the equivalent of the Defensive Line , by week 5 they will have #1 Pass and Run Defense in the Leaque and Gerhart will lead the league in TD;s for a Rookie and top 3 for all players,

A QB out of William & Mary?, the football powerhouse of Colonial Conference. Surely BrINT Favre approved of this in advance

UNDRAFTED FREE AGENTS>…….Means they mite not make team……. OK and Gerhardt is good but, Viks needed Clausen not Gerhardt….. Favre will go back to old ways this year.
And again, Childress will not use him the right way… Look how he misused Taylor and peterson all year!!!!

These are the ignorant delusions that make every Viking fan a comedian in his own right, albeit unwittingly.
Gerhart was a great pick. He has a lot of potential. Other than that, we are discussing undrafted players. If ONE of them makes the active roster at all, that’s a credit to your scouting department. You think they’ll all start, and give you a top ten pass defense? Hilarious.
Next time, make sure you punctuate your posts with THIS IS OUR YEAR!! At least then we’ll know what to expect.

I live about 10 minutes from the William & Mary campus. I watched this kid all year. Hes a pretty solid QB. Dont forget that W&M lost the DivII conference championship this year to Villanova by 1 pt. That said….they probably make him a WR and stick him on the practice squad.
Why the hell did we not pick McCoy at the end of Rd 2???? Does the Minnesota ‘brain trust’ think we dont NEED a QB???

  9. PurpleNGold says: Apr 26, 2010 2:35 PM

Maybe the Minnesota brain trust knows our quarterback position is already filled. If so, it will be fun to watch the Packers get spanked and spanked again by the Vikings.

    Jimmy,
A year ago, for about a month, you were remotely entertaining because those of us with all of our neurons firing could grind you into a cheezy paste on the information superhighway. Then you became tedious with your fanatical, laborious repetition on how dumb Chilly was, etc. Then came the Favre saga, and you’ve been riding that (white cotton) pony for nearly a year now.
Now here, it’s slashed about in a discussion regarding players that have literally zero shot at even making the team. You swing this idiocy about like a rubber sword at Bobby Nelson’s 11th birthday party.

We didn’t need to draft a qb. Why do so many of you think that we did. We have one of the best 3 qb groupings in the league. We have an ironman as a starter and he’s a pro bowler, what else do you need? He doesn’t get in trouble and he loves to win. How about that from the leader of your team! Green Bay messed up, I don’t care what anyone says. Have they won anyother Super Bowls? With better corner play and better safety play we will have another top 10 defense. It should be an enjoyable year to watch the Vikings. Remember people that as much as we want them to win the SB, it is entertainment and not the highest priority in life. Enjoy it, its fun! Good draft. Go Vikes!
