Dolphins undrafted free agents

The Miami Dolphins seemed to place an emphasis on leadership during the draft. Seven of the eight players they selected were named captains of their college teams in 2009.

That trend continued when they started signing undrafted free agents. Cornerback Ross Weaver only made one start for Michigan State, but he was one of four co-captains selected by his teammates during his senior season. Weaver had an interception and forced a fumble in the Alamo Bowl loss to Texas Tech.

The other Dolphins undrafted free agent signees are Travis Ivey, DT, Maryland; AJ Wallace, CB, Penn State; Vince Oghobaase, DT, Duke; Roberto Wallace, WR, SDSU; Jonathan Amaya, DB, Nevada and Marlon Moore, WR, Fresno State.

    No Tightends?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
NO KICK RETURNER?!?! Not unless Marlon Moore is a specialist at it.

With the Dolphins not drafting a TE tells me one thing. That Vernon Davis will be a Miami Dolphin next year. Vernon has stated it would be a dream come true to play with his brother in the NFL.
It’s not tampering if Vontae talks to him over x-mas dinner is it?

305phinfan, thats alot of speculation. I believe they feel Fasano will be back to his 08 form when he had a solid year. With the addition of OL Jerry, Incognito, and B. Marshall I feel the Phins feel comfortable with there the offense is at. The defense was the main priority and I feel they did a solid job of filling needs in the draft.

HUCHLEBERRY- i totally agree with you and i’d also like to add that i also feel that they feel pretty good about the combo of clemons & culver at safety and i believe thats why they didn’t go after one in the draft.go fins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super Bowl Champions are built along the Offensive Line & the Defensive Front Seven. This is EXACTLY what the Miami Dolphins are doing. They have added depth to depth at DT, LB, and G in this draft, creating a log jam of talent at each position to spur on competition and make guys better! Let everyone say that we didn’t have any “sexy picks”, We are EASILY now one of the deepest teams in the league along the trenches on BOTH sides after this draft, and we dumped in 4 more blue collar LB’s to strengthen a unit that added Karlos Dansby via free agency and Tim Dobbins (who out performed Channing Crowder as a BACKUP for the Chargers last year despite the fact that Crowder started all year) via trade! I’m loving it!
