Keith Bulluck still a possibility for Lions?

Although Lions coach Jim Schwartz has basically ruled out signing free agent linebacker Keith Bulluck, Tom Kowalski of MLive.com writes that there may still be a chance of Bulluck ending up in Detroit.

Schwartz has never directly stated whether or not the Lions want Bulluck. Instead, when Bulluck’s name comes up, Schwartz typically says something along the lines of, “He’s got a knee’’ or “He’s got an ACL.’'

The inference from Kowalski, then, is that Schwartz would be open to signing Bulluck if Bulluck can be cleared medically.

The Tennessee Titans are also thought to be interested in bringing back Bulluck if he’s cleared medically, and if he’s not going to ask for too much money.

Bulluck suffered a torn ACL in the Titans’ 14th game of 2009. He had started all 14 games of the season before then, just as he had started every game of every season for the Titans since 2002.
