Ryan Clady torn patellar tendon confirmed

We reported within the hour that Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady tore a patellar tendon playing basketball.

The new has been confirmed, both by Adam Schefter of ESPN and Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.

Schefter says that Clady is telling people he’ll miss three months.  (Somewhere, LeCharles Bentley is shaking his head.)  La Canfora says Clady will miss three or four months.

Frankly, we’ll be shocked if we see Clady in a regular-season game before we see Ben Roethlisberger.

Ryan just doesn’t want to sweat out his summer in training camp.

When you weigh 320+lbs and are 6’6”, if you tear a knee tendon or ligament, yea, you’re going to be out 3 or 4 months so it heals. THEN, you’re going to be out a few more months when he’s able to play football again, if at all.

ahhh, you hit your Ben quota for the day. Between your Ben love and Peter King’s Favre love, good lord guys get a room.

God might be able to pull off a miracle healing if Tebow and his fans pray hard enough. Of course everything that happens is Gods will and God willed Clady to get hurt in the first place, so healing him would be strange.

First they wanted the Ravens 25th pick. Now they’ll be asking for Jared Gaither. Hmmm…..if they gave up all those picks for Tebow…..what could Gaither be worth? Bend over Denver! PPPPFFGGHHHHAAAAA!!!

    Patriots have depth at tackle.

Well, here is hoping those “versatile” OL drafts work out.

You just had to mention Ben didnt you?

We weren’t allowed to play basketball in college. I would imagine his contract has some ‘you’re not getting paid now’ language.

All a part of God’s plan for Tebow. Take out the stud LT so that Orton and Quinn get injured forcing Tebow into the line-up. Since Tebow is a lefty, all he needs is a health RT… yeeeeess… it’s all going according to plan…

Where are all the usual the dumb-asses who said this was a “non-story” when Florio first posted the rumor?
    Non-story, a-holes?
    Broncos 4-12.

  17. StevieMo says: Apr 28, 2010 6:19 PM

You mean Tebow didn’t throw holy water on him and bless him?
Now Tebow can walk over to Clady (when he’s on crutches) and say, “Trust me, it’s a blessing you blew out your knee.”
Or perhaps God is pissed off at McDaniels for trading away Cutler, Marshall and Scheffler….

Making that Tebow draft pick look really smart, eh McDaniels?
It sure would be nice to have a decent rookie tackle to insert instead using the pick on a Filipino-baby-penis-touching douchebag with too much confidence and too much hairgel…..
At least McDaniels and Tebow have an instant connection [in the butt.]

Tebow only cuts (his circumcision prowess) he doesn’t reattach.

“I was jacked leaving that room,” Tebow said. “I didn’t even want to visit another room. It was not enough time. We were excited, we were enthusiastic. There was passion. It was just intense, and it was ball, and it was juice. The juice level in that room was high, and it was awesome.”
