Darrent Williams' killer moves closer to sentencing

On Friday, Willie Clark will receive his sentence for the murder of Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.

The decision will be announced despite efforts by Clark’s lawyer to obtain a new trial, and to delay sentencing.

On Tuesday, the judge that presided over the trial rejected Clark’s motion for a new trial, a prerequisite to challenging the verdict on appeal.  On Thursday, the Colorado Supreme Court rejected an attempt to delay sentencing pending appeal.

Clark killed Williams on New Year’s Eve 2006.  The prosecution’s theory was based on the contention that Clark’s target was former Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall.

Darrant never did get a chance to figure out why
Marshall was pointing at him when the guy ran up to them screaming “Which one of you m*******ers is Brandon Marshall!”.

Ok, I think the the person he was aiming for was Javon Walker, not Brandon Marshal. Just thought I would add that lol.

This is why Marshall had to go. Both he and the team need to start over.

There’s a f&cking problem with our legal system when this f^cking *sshole is still being sentenced for a murder he committed 4 years ago. He should have already been shot, hung, or *ss-raped a million times in Federal prison by now.

I hear this was the real reason the Marshall told a cop that he “hated” Denver during a traffic stop a few years back. This guy was part of a gang and Marshall was fearfull of revenge.
