Mike Martz may bring one of “his guys” to Chicago.
Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago reports that the Bears have recently talked to Mike Furrey’s representatives.
A nominee for PFT’s Pat Tillman award, Furrey played with Cleveland last year. (Feel free to use the PFT nod in contract talks, Mike.)
Furrey played under Martz in St. Louis and Detroit as a safety, then a slot receiver. A move isn’t expected before this weekend’s minicamp, but Furrey has spoken with G.M. Jerry Angelo and Martz is pushing for the move.
