Broncos’ rookie receivers not ready to run

The Denver Broncos selected wide receivers in the first and third rounds of the NFL draft last week, but neither one of them will be ready to go when the team’s first rookie minicamp opens today.

Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are not expected to participate in minicamp, the Denver Post reports. Both have foot injuries.

Thomas, who was selected 22nd overall out of Georgia Tech, is expected to be ready to go when OTAs start on May 17. Decker, who was selected 87th overall out of Minnesota, might not be ready to go by then.

Both Thomas and Decker are attending the minicamp for meetings and rehab work with team doctors and trainers.
