I certainly am anti-McDaniels, and with excellent reason. But I am very objective and support my comments with facts and statistics to back them up as opposed to others, like you, who spout wishful thinking as fact.
You have no basis to support the comment that Tebow will out perform Cutler. A successful college QB does not necessarily translate to a successful NFL QB.
The following were rated among the 10 best QB’s of all time at the college level, Danny Wuerffel, Charlie Ward, Tommie Frazier, Ken Dorsey and Doug Flutie, all colossal NFL failures except Flutie (along with Sammy Baugh, Roger Staubach, Davey O’Brien, Michael Vick, Matt Leinert and Vince Young, most of whom actually succeeded in the NFL).

Other great college QB’s who failed in the NFL include Ryan Leaf, Rex Grossman, Ty Detmer, Steve Walsh and more than a handful of others.
So just because Tebow was successful in college does not mean he will succeed in the NFL. If he does I’ll be happy to acknowledge his success, but until he does I’ll hold off suggesting he’s the savior of the Broncos.
And as for Cutler’s performance in Chicago I’ll hold off comment until we see what he does this year under an offensive coordinator who made Jon Kitna look like a Pro Bowl QB in Detroit. If Cutler can’t perform well under Martz maybe your assessment of Cutler is correct. My gut feeling tells me Cutler will do fine this year, but it’s only my hunch. We’ll know by the end of December.

You sir, are obviously an anti-McDaniels zealot and therefore not objective. I understand your point about Cutler finding Royal more than Orton did, but a lot of that has to do with a worse defense (under Shanny, not Josh). Cutler got the ball deep in Bronco turf all year long. He consistently gambled and hit a lot of big plays but also ended his drives with interceptions or other failure. The result was #2 in yards and #16 in scoring. Josh and Orton also finished in the middle of the pack, but the defense was better. It is true that Orton is not a gambler but Tebow is without all of the interceptions. Therefore Tebow will out-perform both Culter, who has NEVER had a winning season, (hence: the “below average” comment) and Orton who is a respectable game manager but not much more.
ps. throw in another 22 ints in Chicago and you see Cutler’ pattern is indisputable. Until he is smart enough to avoid all of those mistakes, he is part ventriloquist: an arm with a dummy on the end.

Royal had 91 catches, 980 yds & 5 TD’s as a rookie with Cutler throwing to him, and with Orton throwing & McDipshit coaching he had 37 receptions, 345 yds and 0 TD’s. Did he regress or was he under utilized, or could Orton not find him?
Cutler wasn’t below average. In the two years he was a starter we was ranked in the top 10-13 in the league in the most categories. And that was in his first 2 years as a starter.
As for Marshall being replaced, it’s certainly possible but I wouldn’t hold my breath to see that happen in the next 2-3 years unless a new coach comes in and trades for a top 5-8 WR which is what Marshall is.
And if you think the other receivers can catch the ball just fine with a QB throwing them the ball you should really enjoy watching your Broncos this season.

Some of these Bronco homers are just incredulous with their hopeful predictions on how successful these new draft picks will be both short term & long term. I’ve never seen such optimism with such little basis in fact.

So this stud Decker, and he may indeed turn out to be successful, in his rookie season would beat out Moss & Welker in NE, and Wayne and Garcon or Collie, or Gonzales if he returns for Indy, and become an immediate rookie sensation on either of these teams.
That comment is beyond dumb, but then dumb comments are becoming commonplace for some overly hopeful Denver fans.

it is a little concerning when you figure tha name of the game is ‘foot’ball .. a nagging foot injury has been the demise of many a great player .. bobby humphrey of denver fame never got over it for instance .. the foot is everything in that game — a hairline fracture ?? can you imagine the wear and tear on that over a season ? must be painful .. sorry mcbelachick — betting on the come aint good in this league

All Thomas and Decker were going to do in camp was downfield blocking anyway.
Knowshon’s your only hope, Denver fans.
[name me a quarterback on the roster that can throw the ball better than TELLING US that he can throw the ball.]
As a Belichek protege, McDaniels will experience a career arc similar to that of Billy Cheaterpants, as in–lots of early head coaching failures.
It’s McDaniels’ fault we’re having to choke down all this Tebow BS. A later pick would’ve expedited Tebow from our memories.

Fantastic! Now that we have gotten rid of the poison that is Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall, We can rebuild with quality people who are better players. Tebow will make Cutler look like a beginner and now the receiving corps will be more effective because the defense has to worry about several talented players – who actually suit up!!
Broncs go 10-6 this year. Powerhouse in 2-3 years.

I wouldn’t worry about Bay Bay Thomas’ injury. In his whole time at GT he missed only one game, and that was from a mild concussion. He’ll be the perfect replacement for Marshall.

Neither guy “gets hurt a lot”, Decker suffered his injury about half way through the season which I believe was his fist injury of his career. Thomas suffered a hairline fracture in his foot while getting ready for the combine and again I am pretty sure it was his first injury since entering college.
Jonathan Stewart was injured with a similar injury when he was drafted too. Do you think Carolina regrets the pick at this point? Injuries heal but the talent these two guys showed in college doesn’t just disapear.

I think they’ll replace Marshall just fine. Neither of tese guys were injury prone in college but injuries do happen. Thomas has the same body type as Marshall but is much faster. Decker is tough as nails and was a great posession WR I’m college. He would have been a 1st rd pick if not for his injury. Also, I’m going to laugh when Tebow becomes a star and you haters are forced to eat your words.

If Thomas and Decker were healthy at the draft Bay-Bay would have gone top 10 and Eric early second round. Thomas was running sub 4.4 40s in Combine training. Broncos knew their injury situation and expected this. Lots of time to heal and practice.

This is all Tim Tebow’s fault. With that poor throwing motion, poor Wunderlic score, and other infirmities too numerous to mention, this definitely is the fault of Tim Tebow, and no one else.
As long as he remains on the team, we’ll have probelms like this. It’s all his fault – there’s no other reason

Decker would have been a great compliment to Brandon Marshall and Tony Scheffler..
throw in Knowshon Moreno and another decent running/passing threat (Jhavid Best) and they would have had an offensive juggernaut in the AFC West..
instead they got Orton and Knowshon with no other proven NFL weapons (and that’s if you think Orton’s neckbeard is a weapon)
and the media’s prodigal son, Tim “Sunshine on My Shoulders” Tebow..
