Patriots rookie tight end Aaron Hernandez has acknowledged failing “one” drug test at the University of Florida. Published reports have indicated that Hernandez failed “multiple” drug tests. Hernandez, who slid to round four, has not yet spoken to reporters about the situation.
According to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, Hernandez successfully avoided the media at the team’s minicamp.
He was not made available by the team, and he left the practice field out of the range of the assembled reporters.
On Friday, coach Bill Belichick evaded questions regarding Hernandez’s off-field issues.
