Lions minicamp one-liners

DT Ndamukong Suh said he weighs between 295 and 300 pounds -- less than at the combine but more than at Nebraska.

Said RB Jahvid Best of coach Jim Schwartz saying he gets aroused watching his highlights on YouTube, “I don’t want to talk to him about it.”

Schwartz was impressed with undrafted CB Aaron Berry: “He’s quick. He’s not very big, but he plays without fear, so to speak. He did a nice job today.”

OT Jason Fox, who is recovering from knee surgery, did most of the drills and didn’t have any problems moving.

LB Caleb Campbell said that during his stint in the Army, “Every morning I woke up and there was just this little nagging voice in my heart, in my head, saying, ‘Hey, it’s not over yet,’ And I listened to it.”

CB Amari Spievey, a third-round pick, stood on the sideline Friday because he had tightness in his hips.

The Lions brought in three undrafted free agent quarterbacks: Andy Schmitt of Eastern Michigan, Donovan Porterie of New Mexico and Taylor Bennett of Louisiana Tech.
