Only minor damage to LP Field

The images of the Titans stadium flooding on Monday were jarring, but apparently the water won’t have a lasting impact.

Flood waters covered the playing surface at LP Field, but the water that reached the service level of the stadium where the locker rooms are should not cause big problems.

“Any replacement costs will be covered by insurance and will start as
soon as possible,” Titans senior vice president Steve Underwood said. “Our staff and Metro employees and
government who worked tirelessly together deserve our thanks.”

The water that covered the field has also receded.  The Titans practice facility avoided any damage.

The same can’t be said for the Nashville area as a whole, and we wish the city the best in their recovery.  Information on how you can help the city rebuild can be seen here.

  1. My sister lives in Tennessee and it’s a shame that the flooding has taken a back seat because of so many other news stories.

  2. Good news. So who’s going to tell the Haitians that their generous relief effort to Rescue LP Field isn’t needed?

  3. The world is coming to an end my friends. It’s all over. And I say good. What a horrible place filled with horrible people. Cept me, I’m awesome.

  4. Good to hear. I hope the best for Nashville…great (and underrated) city with nice people…and great football fans.
    Good luck…from a Saints fan.

  5. Way to stay classy, folks.
Thousands here have lost jobs, homes, cars, etc. Hopefully you’ll never experience what we’re going through.

  6. Gosh I am so glad the field is ok. Thousands of people are out of their homes but thank dog the field is fine.

  7. More damage was done when the owner bitch-slapped the coach and told him which QB to start. Have a nice season New Orleans Jr.

  8. Holy Crap!
They win the superbowl in the next couple of years like their twin!
    Awesome!
