I wanna clear somethings up about Lebanon CT. Lebanon CT is closer to Mass then it is to NYC. The rich spoil brats you speak of are from Fairfield county or Litchfield County these kids are from North East Ct not the Western half that has the $$. I hate the stereo type everyone from CT is rich that’s a negative. Lebanon is a small farming town of about 5000 people the school only has just about 400 kids if even that. please do your research on where the school is located before u go running your mouth. 2nd most people on the east side of the CT river are more Mass sport fans aka the Pats, Celtics and Red Soxs. How do i know this? because i went to the school about 6 years ago. There is much more to this story then they want to be know about The Pats knew don’t let them fool you the intern even told Mrs. Fabry that no one could come cause is was summer. They weren’t expecting the bulletin to be there to bust them. To add they orginal told them they would have a half day program for the whole school then a week before it it was changed to 100 kids. The pieces of crap came with only about enough t-shirts for half of the 100 kids the rest got highlighters o ya the grand prize for one kid was a Fred Taylor Jersey. The Pats knew don’t let them fool you they weren’t expecting this little country town to say anything or atleast get this much press. Lebanon wasn’t worth their time. till Wednesday when they sent the couch and a player to the school. But the school wasn’t expecting a big name they thought a cheerleader or atleast the mascot

To be fair …. this is an update on the story:
The Patriots were not at fault. The New England Dairy Council, who also sponsored the event, says the miscommunication is their fault. Gary Wheelock, the group’s CEO, has aplogized, said that the group will try to make amends to the kids, and apologized to the Patriots for subjecting them to negative press.

But officials at Lebanon MS made the assumption that Patriots’ players were part of the deal — and the New England Dairy and Food Council is taking full responsibility for the misunderstanding.
Gary Wheelock, CEO of the non-profit group, sends this statement:
“New England Dairy & Food Council wishes to apologize for our miscommunication that led to student disappointment that a New England Patriots player did not attend the Lebanon CT Middle School assembly program earlier this week.
This was not, in any way, the fault of the Patriots, it was solely New England Dairy & Food Council’s mistake, and we are very sorry.
We want to congratulate the kids at Lebanon Middle School for their exemplary efforts participating in the “Fuel Up To Play 60” program. Building strong bodies and strong minds is a goal we can all embrace.
Finally, we promise that we will find a way to make this right, and we ask the kids for their patience while we try to make amends.”

Yes, I’m making several posts here as I tally the familiar names and try to make sense of something bizarre, doofus. But are ANY of those posts disrespecting the New England Patriots or their players? Nooooo. In fact, my first post defended the team and Mr. Kraft. I do not troll Pats threads yapping about Spygate and Babygate and CERTAINLY NOT rejoicing about player injuries. Since coming to PFT I’ve made posts defending the team over Spygate, congratulating them for playing to win in 07 rather than crawling to the finish like the 09 Colts, wishing well to Wes Welker, and defending Randy Moss when people said he wasn’t trying.
Soooo I’m not exactly the posterchild for trashtalking rival teams. All I’m doing here is expressing genuine puzzlement at why so many Pats fans have been obsessively following the Roethlisberger story and why some of them (not you) have posted comments to me that were scary in their abusiveness. I can sort of understand that kind of obsession from teams in our division and even the Seahawks and Cardinals. But since the Pats have the better record against us in recent years, I just don’t understand it from you guys. That’s my point.

Hey “Real Shuxion” and all you other Patriots fans, hold your head’s up, the Patriots ARE a class organization. Don’t believe the haters out there.
It is really awesome to read these comments posted by these 3 year olds and then find out that the New England Dairy Council apologized for the fiasco and stated that the Patriots had no knowledge that the Dairy Council had intimated a Patriots player would show up at the school.
I would be willing to bet that the Patriots will send a player to the school even though it was not their fault.
You haters don’t think they will? Do you remember the name of Anna Grant? Bet you don’t. She was the 14 year old girl that was booed by classless Colt’s fans at the Punt, Pass & Kick competition so Kraft and the Patriots honored her at a game later in the year.
Say all you want about Kraft, he’s a shrewd businessman that has a big heart for Pat’s Fans. And I am proud to be one and just smile when I read the posts from other teams fans that relish bashing the Pat’s organization.
You just don’t get it, you aint gonna get it, and that’s just fine by us. Just keep sending us the Rodney Harrison’s, Wes Welker’s, Junior Seau’s,
Randy Moss’, and all the other veteran’s that you don’t want anymore and LOVE playing for the Pat’s so we can win yet ANOTHER Super Bowl.

You, my comrade in Steel are correct.
I live in CT so, let me help out here. Of the fans who like ‘local’ teams,65% of the state likes the Giants. 20% like the Jets and 15% like the Patriots – mostly consisting of the far northeastern corner and the Hartford area plus, some that ‘followed’ Bill Parcells there because they had no chance in hell of getting Giants tickets whereas Pats tickets were practically free before 1993. There is a huge group of bandwagon fans. Ask anyone with a Patriots hat on who their quarterback was before Drew Bledsoe and 75% have no idea. Seems as if their proud tradition started when Parcells got there. Since most are clueless bandwagoners, they are nearly impossible to talk to. They don’t seem to realize that had the Pats not tripped over Tom Brady, Bill I Cheat would be the same loser he was with the Browns.

That would be Six appearances. SBs 20, 31, 36, 38, 39 and the infamous 42. Only 4 have been during the Belichick/Brady era. Five on Bob Kraft’s watch.
I know the history, dude. Been following them since Ben Dreith screwed them against the Raiders in ’76. That’s why the Tuck Game was so cool. The Raid-duhs got the shaft and we got the win. And eventually the really big win.
Ever hear of a guy named Steve Grogan? How about Steve Nelson? Harold Jackson? Stanley Morgan? Mosi Tatupu?
So no, I didn’t jump on late. I truly do hate every other team, and don’t care if the Patriots actually cheated, and if every other team were to die in plane crashes and the NFL annointed the Patriots the champs, I’d run through the streets of Boston like they won it on the field.

Apparently Bill Belichick, of his own volition, personally sent that letter to the school promising Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker and himself to show up, work out with the kids and then drive them all home.
