I have always been 1 of the biggest Mcnabb supporters in the league and was pissed when they let him go but him acting like this really makes me question all the times I took his side.

Eagles fan here, always been a McNabb fan. I will say he is a whiny little girl who can’t let anything go without a response. Simply lacks the heart to win a Superbowl. McNabb was also never a guy you could look at think that he would lead you back. Just a different make-up.

Seriously? Its Obvious that you need to ask yourself that question. What will it take for you to realize that McNabb is a Declining QB? I am soooo happy that he was traded this year. I would hate to see the team hang onto him like they did other players that were noticeably getting worse and then 90% of the Fan base is screaming at the FO to cut him. If we hung onto McNabb it would have cost the team $$ and Kolb would have most likely walked to become the next Sunny Jerg for some other Lucky Franchise.
The “TEAM” Has been carrying McNabb since 2006 and all he can do is point fingers when the “TEAM” Loses a game. Kolb is a TEAM Player and the TEAM will do much better with him under center regardless of the Interceptions he throws.
I assume that Kolb (This Year) will put up numbers like Favre did his first start. It wont be pretty but there will be wins. I can see us losing Division but getting a WC Seed into the playoffs. We will have a harder sched then last year. McNabb as the almighty QB could not beat a team that was over .500 last year, Lost 3 times to a Sorry looking Cowboys team. (Before any cowboys fans chime in, You guys looked horrible in almost every game you played but were able to squeak it out in the end) Kolb will be a better all around QB by year 2012 then McNabb was since 2006. I dont expect McNabb to be playing in 2012 due to the frequency of his injuries and lack of Passing consistency under center.

It’s funny that McNabb doesn’t like Desean’s comments when McNabbsaid similar things right after TO got hurt.
Anyone remember when he was asked by reporters how the Eagles would fare with TO injured, and McNabb responded that they would be fine, that they wouldn’t miss a beat and that McNabb is the captain of the team?
It had been widely reported that those comments were the beginning of the end of the McNabb-TO relationship.

I have been right in the Mac5 corner for his entire Philly career… until that last lost to Dallas. That loss was just too much to watch, as I screamed at the TV “hit the Hot route!”. When he did attempt to hit the Hot route, almost without exception he made an uncatchable throw to the intended reciever. He made long throw after long throw as he was falling to the turf and left the Eagles fan base scratching thier heads wondering what he was thinking. Where was the screen pass? Bottom line was that he fell in love with the long ball and became way too predictable. This year we will have the upper hand against all opponents, because the previous years game tape will show nothing of what to expect. This is a new team with a new approach at the line of scrimmage. So all you Dallas fags come into the game expecting to see the same old Eagles and you will be the ones left scratching your heads in wonder.

Of course McNabb was a great QB for Philly. I was a HUGE supporter of his. But there are three reasons why I wanted him to go…and a fourth reason why I said I will never watch a game again if he is our QB.
First Reason.
Once he lost the ability to change the game with his running skills he became a pocket passer. As a pocket passer he was too inaccurate to sustain drives. Dont get me wrong, he was a very good pocket passer, but when he lost the run ability he also fell out of the league of the top 5 QBs and landed more in the middle of the pack.
Second Reason.
He doesn’t take it personally. A QB should live and die with wins and losses. If his team loses he should feel and say that HE lost…if they win he should feel that HE won but SAY that the team won. McNabb blamed everyone else for losses…not all the time, but enough to irritate me.
Third Reason.
After 11 years I was just growing tired of seeing the same faces….kinda like when your wife gets a new and very different haircut…or even dyes her hair a different color. In bed its nice to see something different. This is not McNabbs fault that he was here too long…its to his credit and shows that he belongs in the HOF (if he can lead the Redskins to a playoff win before he’s done IMHO).
Fourth Reason
I said I will never watch a game with him under center again because he called last season successfull because we won 11 games. Despite the fact that Dallas humiliated us twice to end our season.
I will not watch a Philly QB play who is satisfied with anything less than a superbowl win.

Here are a few more points….
Kolb needs to make the playoffs his first year as starter and win a playoff game. Seeing that he has MUCH better weapons than Mcnabb did.
Kolb needs to LEAD the team to a new franchise record for points with the same weapons Mcnabb did last year.
Kolb needs to be the BEST QB in the CONFERENCE in his first year.
If Kolb is so much better than Mcnabb the Eagles should be playing for a SB win in his 2nd year. Mcnabb was in the NFC conference game his 2nd year as starter and and again with FAR LESS talent.
There are a few more things Kolb needs to do to make ME forget about #5 under center. But I don’t want to overload the young man’s plate.

During the Feeley episode as with Garcia the RUN/PASS ratio was evened dramatically. (as it should be with Kolb) Garcia nor Feeley had to throw the ball 35-45 times a game. During Garcias stint Westbrooks carries went from 10-15 times a game to 15-25 times a game hence the 5 100 yard games in a row.
That SB “loss” that Mcnabb earned weren’t the Eagles winning that game at the half regardless of all the sacks and hits he took during that HALF of football? On 3rd and goal at the 7 yard line was that Mcnabb playing CB cheating in the backfeild win Brady threw that laser to a WR that was just STANDING THERE WAITING FOR THE BALL?
And since I am bringing up old games what was the score of that Saints game at half time BEFORE Kolb threw his first INT of the game? 13-17. Was that his first pass of the 2nd half? Yeah it was.

OK Check it out, I just read every stupid comment on here (I didnt have computer Access all day today) and After talking with some friends and other Fans. It seems to me that Most of the doubters (Which are Eagles fans) are more concerned with Kolb rather then miss McNabb. IMO, I am excited to see what Kevin can do. We have all seen exactly what McNabb can do and that it squat. McNabb (As far as winning the big Game) Has been a bust. He is also been getting worse as time goes on. I see Promise in Kolb and see him getting better in the next few years. whereas Mcnabb is in his decline….To Me, Moving on with Kolb was a better Choice. Dont Fret the small stuff and just think about the obvious. Which QB Will throw more passes in 2011? in 2012? in 2013? I see Kolb as a starter for 8+ Years….McNabb will most likely be done in 2 seasons. Before anyone comes out with the Favre crap. McNabb is tough but wayyyy less tough then Favre.

For the Rest of you comment…You pretty much stated the obvious. McNabb is a stronger QB then Kolb…and Most of the Qb’s in the League. The only other stronger QB i would say would have to be Ben Roth. However, Kolb will be fine because he has a quick release and will avoid the big hits in that aspect. Most Refs protect the smaller QB’s better then the bigger ones anyway so Kolbs “Size” could benifit us then “McNabb’s” size. We very rarely got late hit calls on Donovan.

I have known many of Redskins fans (Being that I live in the Balt-DC Area) Who have come out in spades week one of every past 10 or so seasons saying that this was the year that the Skins will win the Bowl (again)…By week 5 they refuse to wear the Burg-and-Gold and swear at their own team. I see it every year dude, plain as sight. Its not just one or two…its pretty much all of them. This year will not be any different one McNabb tosses a few of his famous Dirt balls on a 3rd and 4 on the line of scrimmage.

McNabb has to face the music and realize that he was cut for a reason. I will come out and say it right now. McNabb is not as good as people think he is….”Any more”. McNabb was great Pryor to 2006. Now all he is good for is tossing a long bomb that WRs have to catch up to. He cannot his anyone in stride over the middle. He has a very “Long” Memory when it comes to mistakes (Always has). And he is getting a bit too old to scramble (Which was his Forte’ for many of years). Now that we have moved on, It is time for the team mates, not to bicker about what we lost, But to praise who we have left. That is what DJac is doing. McNabb was never good a brushing off anything. He always took things to heart and this is his biggest downfall. Washington, I wish you the best of luch with “Donnie’s Dirt balls” in the up-in-comming season!

I gotta laugh at all the geniuses that keep telling us Kolb is the better QB. If that’s true then why did it take DM being traded for Kolb to finally win the starters job?
The eagles being so much better at pass catching is pretty amusing too. The redskins have 2 TE’s who’s jock Celek couldn’t carry (Cooley is arguably the best), A WR in Moss who is just as electric of a playmaker if he’s got someone who can actually put it in his hands downfield, and talented youth that is easily the equal of what the Eagles have in reserve. No more Westbrook, no more mobile QB who avoids the pass rush, not much of anything at RB (certainly not better than what Washington has) an O line that is no more solid without DM avoiding the guys they let through. So at worst it’s a wash in offensive talent, at best DM actually has more options and better protection from the scheme of a Coach who is known for making no names into 1500 yard backs and resurrecting “old and over the hill, choker” QB’s. He’s also been to the show a few times and unlike Reid has won a few.
Oh and it’s also comical to see Eagle fans try and defend their fanbase’s treatment of this guy. Your fanbase is the most loyal? Hahahahahaha! You frickin booed the guy at the draft and it pretty much never let up from some of you brainiacs the entire time he was there. The LAST thing you prize winners are is loyal, you prove that in spades by turning on the guy when he was traded to a rival. Most loyal fans and always have seats filled in the stands….Hmmmm how long is your sellout streak? Where were all those fans during the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s? And since when do loyal fans boo a guy before he even hits the field? Oh that’s right they were booing the pick and the FO…not MacNabb. Riiiiiight.

Yea Mcnabb has accuracy issues but more than makes up for them many ways. That’s obvious as we’ve seen him excel over a decade in a very competitive league and division. For every pass Mcnabb passed over his career, his receivers have dropped 3 passes on him lol. Dude will automatically get injured as a SKin? He got hurt last year taking a cheap shot to the ribs by a massive DT. ALl these other frail QBs wouldnt have recovered like he did. And he still put up some of the better numbers last year missing games. Dude has played and played well on broken ankles, with broken ribs whatever you name it. He’s tough as nails. He shakes LB’s off let’s see Kolb do that. Let’s see Kolb connect on 70 yard frozen lazers across his body and shit lol won’t happen. Even the superbowl which “was Mcnabbs fault” he was GETTING HAMMERED BY SOME OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF OUR ERA the entire game. Theres not to many qb’s in this league who coulda taken that beaten and still made the game competitive like that I don’t wanna hear it. Guys done nothing but win and leave it all out there. Yea we got crushed twice last year by Dallas but you all know it wasn’t just Don.
