Frankly, I think most teams would prefer a pocket passer. The OL would know where the QB is, and more often than not the passes are more consistent.
I think you are confusing “teams” with “receivers and linemen.” NO team prefers an immobile QB; just certain players like it because it makes their jobs easier. But overall, it’s always better if a QB can avoid sacks or gain yards with his feet.

This sounds a lot like the receiver in Florida saying the same thing about Tebow: he prefers a pocket passer to a scrambler.
Nothing new or noteworthy. Receivers who are trained to run precise, crisp routes for a living enjoy receiving passes at the end of said routes. Not really a surprise or news. This site is like the TMZ of football news sites.

come on harrison im a garcia fan but you cant compare that 08 veteran filled team with the 09 young guns roster… there was more talent and alot more experiance on that 08 team even though they were in decline

I think whether or not a team or player prefers a mobile QB or a pocket passer depends on the system. Some receivers are very good at breaking from the routes and getting open, and others are better at running the routes and have a good rapport with the QB, leading them to know exactly where and when the ball where be where it should be.

2008 w/Garcia Bucs were 9-7, last year no Garcia 3-13. He must have been doing something right.

Whatever, ask Jeff Garcia, and i bet he would say he would rather have alot of other WR’s then Bryant. So what? Bryant just needs to produce, or Carson is gonna say he liked Coles better, and I dont think he could ever replace T.J.

I don’t think he was slamming Garcia. He just stated a fact: Garcia, for all the pluses about his game, still ran around too much, causing his receivers to have to adjust.
Part of the problem is the Bucs offensive line did not play up to their potential, causing Garcia to lose faith in them. But there were times when he ran from a perfect pocket, breaking the timing of the play and causing all the receivers to have to adjust.
Of course, any NFL team would prefer a mobile QB to a statue, but mobile QBs tend to create more work for receivers. So he could just be preferring Palmer over Garcia because he doesn’t want the extra work.
