As the Packers hope to improve their offensive line play after a dismal (at times) showing in 2009, one of the men on the depth chart will miss all of the offseason workouts.
Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel recently reported that guard T.J. Lang, a fourth-round pick in 2009, will miss all offseason practices after undergoing wrist surgery on April 5.
Lang, who appeared in every game last year and started three, is expected to return for training camp. It’s possible, however, that he won’t be ready to go.
He fractured the scaphoid bone in his wrist during December. After the injury didn’t heal properly in the offseason, surgery became necessary.
Lang is expected to compete with Daryn Colledge and Jason Spitz for playing time at left guard.
