Boston is a “small market”? Boston is the 7th largest TV market in the country. And that doesn’t count the rest of New England which is mostly Boston sports country.
And the only NY rival of Boston teams are the yankees. The Pat’s rivals are the Colts, the Bruins the Canadiens and the Celtics the Lakers. Boston could pretty much care less about the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Jets, Mets or Giants.
Boston makes tons of lists as the best large city in the country. They boast 6 World Championships in the big four sports in the last decade. Who can claim more, NY? Their health care and higher education is unmatched nationwide. The per-capita income is permanently in the top five states.

All Boston fans, and, for that matter, all people from Boston are assholes.
Seriously, a bunch of alcoholic, insecure, inferiority-complex, crypto-racist, self-styled “blue collar”, self-regarding “underdog” morons.
What they lack in brains, creativity or numbers they more than make up for in volume and insanely blind allegiance to the most overrated small market in sports.
If New York or, to a lesser extent, Los Angeles were wiped off the face of the map, what would Boston fans do? They would have no earthly reason to go on, as they thrive on the antipathy they feel toward their perceived betters. If Boston suddenly disappeared, NYC and LA would still have plenty to work on. The “rivalries” that Boston fans have fostered have always had a passion gap, because they’ve always meant more to the Bostonians then they did to anybody else. Sort of like a drunk short guy in a bar picking fights with anybody over 6’2″.
And furthermore, Boston is actually kind of a shitty town after you’ve seen all the historical relics/ruins from way back when it was a relevant city. For my money, it’s a poor man’s Philadelphia, and it’s tough to stomach either of those places after you’ve spent any real time in New York.
Not to malign New England. Beautiful part of the country. But Boston, specifically, blows.

Maybe you should change your name to ItalianStrawMan, because you are really grasping at straws now. Your problem with Brady is that he doesn’t do enough out of town interviews? You’ve got to be kidding. Exactly how many interviews does Hines Ward do for Seattle radio, or Chris Johnson do for Miami, Manning for SF television, etc.? Brady does plenty of interviews with national media, but now that’s not good enough for you; he’s supposed to do interviews with local media for each of the 31 other teams too? Of course if he did do that, you’d be the first to complain he’s a media whore.
Get a clue, the national media stopped following the spygate story long ago for two reasons: that season ended, and New England didn’t suddenly collapse to a losing record (like you hoped they would.) The only people that cling on to it are anonymous crybabies on message boards who can’t get over the fact their team lost not once but twice in the AFCCG.

Florio, why is it that you always report the Average Annual Value of a contract when it is signed, but then switch to the base salaries at the end of a contract? We all know that Brady is making far more than 8 million dollars for these two years. The signing and other bonuses must be factored into the equation. Otherwise, you should have reported that Brady made 30 million dollars the first year of the contract.
Seems to me like you’re just acting as a mouthpiece for Donald Yee, Brady’s agent. I hope selling your integrity for access is worth it. You’re a typical douchebag lawyer.

As for the “career being done based on last year’s stats”, if that’s the case then there are only about four current NFL quarterbacks who deserve to continue to be employed. Brady threw for 28 TD (6th best) and 4398 yards (5th best), even though he had for all intents and purposes only two receivers.
But carry on with your Brady/Patriots bashing. No point in letting facts get in the way of your agenda.

You know, I understand a good football rivalry hatred. I’m an Eagles fan, so the Cowboys are normally my target.
