The Redskins are reportedly looking to the North to fill out their front office.
A report in the Montreal Gazette indicates that longtime Montreal Alouette G.M. Jim Popp may be in line for a new gig with the Redskins.
The Alouettes recently worked out an extension for head coach Mark Trestman, but one hasn’t occurred for Popp. Here’s an interesting quote from the piece:
“Popp, given his success, has an enormous ego -- perhaps justifiably -- and has rubbed many in the organization the wrong way.”
The team has made the playoffs every year during Popp’s tenure.
(Thanks for the tip, Washington Post.)
