The Tennessee Titans have announced what Terry McCormick reported last night — veteran NFL executive Ruston Webster has joined the team.
Webster will serve as V.P. of player personnel in Tennessee.
When I joined the Titans organization, we were able to fill a number of roles in the pro and college departments, but we didn’t fill the Player Personnel spot at the time,” General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said in a team-issued release. “I wanted the right person to fill that role and wanted to see how the organization would function in the various departments before making this hire. I have a great deal of respect for Ruston as a football guy and as a person. He will focus on the college draft, but will assist in the other areas of the personnel department as well.”
Webster most recently worked for the Seahawks, serving as interim G.M. after Tim Ruskell was fired. Webster previously spent 18 seasons in Tampa.

Ruston Webster wrote the dictionary on NFL player personnel strategy. At least the revised edition.
“He will focus on the college draft”….
This guy was the Buccaneers’ director of college scouting during 2001-2004 during that time, bucs only had two first round picks (2001 and 2004). Those picks were hall of flames…Kenyatta Walker and Michael Clayton.
good luck with “that guy”…I wouldn’t hire anybody associated with the Bucs scouting department
