Actually c.carterhof, although the Packers weren’t much good most years from ’74 to Favre, I’m pretty sure the series was about even during that time period. Maybe there was a lot of other stuff you missed out on too, who knows.

The rivalry thing comes and goes, when one of the teams sucks for any length of time the rivalry kinda disappears.
When I first started watching football, (74) Vikes didnt have a good division rivalry. They all sucked! I considered them all sorry because none of em were good for any length of time.
The Bears came up in the 80′s and changed that. Then Favre came along and made the Pack relevant, up until then tho I never thought much of them.

I mean it quite literally. His head looks bigger. His arm is certainly stronger. Those injury issues disappeared.

Im personally happy to see Rogers succeed for two reason. One is people ripped this dude when Favre left, saying he was a nobody, he would fail, etc. He didn’t fail. The other reason is I can’t stand Favre these past few seasons and I know it kills him to see Rogers have success. I’m sure he wished that Rogers would flop. Sounds just like what people are saying about Kevin Kolb.

The pulse of the smart Vikings fans out there (yeah, okay, SMART Vikings fans… people will have fun with that) will tell you that they would much rather have any of the other QBs in the division, for the long term.
Rodgers is a stud.
Cutler can be elite if he quits being such a douche and has weapons.
Stafford is a stud, and will make the Lions relevant.
With all of that said, and knowing that I loathed the jersey Favre wore for all those years, last season sure was a fun ride. Thanks Brett, it was worth every minute (until the last couple!)
Maybe next year.
and will everyone please settle down on here? people get pretty mouthy when they have their big keyboard to hide behind.

Neither fact backs up you contention that Rodgers was the difference.

No, Aaron Rodgers will just make up injuries after the fact and tell it to the media to try to give himself the “tough-guy” image right away that Favre has earned though the years.
He didn’t make up that shoulder injury he suffered vs. Tampa Bay two seasons ago. He is tougher than you give him credit for.

You’re right, he does make it look so easy. The sky’s the limit for him, he has so much raw natural talent. The criticism or abuse he gets for a SECOND YEAR STARTER WHO HAS THROWN FOR 8000 YARDS IN TWO SEASONS IS LAUGHABLE!!
I haven’t seen enough of Stafford to make an accurate statement as far as arm strength. Not sure he could throw a ball 70 yards in the air though. As for Cutler, his arm is overrated IMO, and so is his overall play. Bad Attitude, Pussy, (Hates getting Hit), led the league in red zone picks last year and finally, he has the Brent Favre syndrome. When he gets flushed, he throws late over the middle every time resulting in picks.

That was an awesome throw. He makes those throws look so easy too, like it’s just a flick of the wrist.
