Who would have guessed that the return to the field for linebacker Brian Cushing would be the second biggest story coming out of Texans OTAs on Monday?
We’ll have a little more on Andre Johnson’s absence later this evening, but first let’s hear from last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year.
“This is what I do,” Cushing said. “This is what I’m going to be doing
for a long time. Just to be out here running around with the guys,
there’s nothing better than this . . . my mind’s just back on football, and
it’s a really good feeling.”
It’s unclear if Cushing faced any more questions about what his possible medical issues, including a supposed enlarged pituitary gland.
In other Texans news Monday, rookie second running back Ben Tate was sidelined with a hamstring injury, while first-round cornerback Kareem Jackson immediately practiced with the first team.
