Ravens pick up Travis Fisher

It took two tryouts, but the Ravens have finally signed cornerback Travis Fisher.

The team announced the move Monday, in addition to the signing of undrafted free agent safety Brad Jones.

Baltimore has major questions in the secondary, and needs bodies that can take offseason snaps while the team’s starters rehab injuries.

Hopefully, he doesn’t tear an ACL like all of our other corners.

Any player would be an upgrade over Frank Walker

Ravens better hope Anquan and the offense can carry the team this year because the defense FELL OFF…
Dont give me some BS about drafting a LB that 32 teams passed on because of knee injuries and a guy best know for being a professional fat ass.

Before you call out one of the best GM’s in the league, he put together a team that can beat the chiefs, browns, and raiders in one season……. more than the steelers can say, they’ve got their own problems.

Ravens had a better Defense than the steelers last year.. gave up less yards per game and less points.. im not sure where you got your fact froms sir.

Relax.., and untangle your panties…, these guys are training camp chum…, just like the article says. They fill in the gaps, while the healing starters rest/rehab.

Correct. But before you go patting yourself on the back, keep in mind the Steelers had their worst year defensivly in about a decade thanks to season ending injuries in week three to two defensive pro bowlers. Pretty clear that neither defense lived up to their repuation last year and both finished with the same disapointing regular season record.

    Raven Adam,
Right there with you boss. Sad thing is Stillerz doesn’t realize after Webb and Washington were out and we had Carr and Foxworth starting, we were still shutting down WR’s with ease. With the additions of Terrence Cody and Cory Redding, and hopefully Kruger making a seamless transition to DE, we have the depth on the D line, and an improved pass rush which will big time help our corners who won’t be stranded in no mans land chasing the likes of Welker or Wayne. Improved D big time. Just wait to see what we get for Gaither bc he WILL get traded by mid-June.

A LOT of talk coming from a guy who roots for a team that got its defense TORCHED by friggin’ Oakland and KC! (and Oakland was at home).
By the way, I remember back in ’96 when another Ravens linebacker got passed over by 20+ teams (and even 4 lbs taken ahead of him)…..hmmmmm, that worked out pretty good for us since we got the GREATEST LINEBACKER OF ALL TIME!!!!
As far as the professional fat ass comment….ok, we’ll see…..can’t wait till Mendenhall tries to run up through the middle on him. Maybe he’ll break his shoulder like Ray did! PPPPPPPPFFFFGGGHHHHHHAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Don’t even talk to the people that talk trash on the Ravens, especially Steelers fans. Baltimore will run shit this year all the way to Dallas. Travis Fisher is just a stop gap because they want to have insurance until Webb and Washington recover from their injuries. Harbaugh said he was a great technician and had a great work ethic. All we needed was a vet guy to come in and play ST.
