Vikings ink a draft pick, too

Though the process won’t conclude until August (or possibly later), teams are beginning to give out contracts to players taken in last month’s draft.

The latest is Vikings fullback Ryan D’Imperio, a seventh-round selection from Rutgers.

D’Imperio played linebacker for the Scarlet Knights. He’s making the switch to the offensive backfield in the NFL.

As the 237th overall pick, D’Imperio most likely signed a three-year or a four-year deal for minimum base salaries and a signing bonus based on the money given to the 237th pick in 2009, with a modest increase.
