Marshawn Lynch gets motivation from ex-Bills great

We take a break from the somewhat serious issues of hGH and interviews with the Commisioner on this Thursday for a detour in the silly.

Thurman Thomas and Marshawn Lynch apparently have been at odds.  The guys at Buffalo Sports Daily detail the long-running feud and display a picture of Lynch’s locker, which has negative words Thomas said about Lynch in the past.

“If I was the G.M., he’d be out of there.” Thomas said last year.

Lynch kept that quote and a few others up during last season, but it didn’t help him avoid a career-worst year. It also hasn’t motivated him enough to get him to show up to Bills OTAs.

It’s taking longer than expected, but Thomas should get his wish by 2011 at the latest.

Emmitt Smith could not get a hundred yards behind that O-Line.

Lynch should ask Thomas about his DUIs and tell him to STFU.

and I thought it was going to be OJ.

I don’t want Lynch out of here. Under a new coaching staff I think he will do better. Jauron and company were morons. They didn’t talk to the QB after a bad play. They benched Lynch after 2 carries for 60 yards and a TD. He was treated terribly last year for an aging Jackson. I think under the new coaching staff, he will be used to his full capabilities. Unfortunately, I still don’t have much hope for our QBs but Lynch is not a lost cause. He and Spiller can do some crazy things if they’re used correctly.

Thats bull CRAP marshawn has had his bad past with the car and then the gun, but he is a good football player and play’s hard everydown he fights for every yard and I think if he is not around to share the carrys with spiller and action freddy jackson, then the bills will be in trouble, also the bills running backs always get hurt through out the season every season so I think the bills will keep all the there backs
    LETS GO BUFFALO

He should clip out the item from the newspaper detailing the 3% wage postal workers received bringing their average take home salary up to $27,000 per year. That’s motivation.

I thought he was talking about Kenneth Davis as the Buffalo Bills great……I guess Thomas was pretty good too.

I guess Fred Jackson is better than Emmit Smith then, because he did it a few times last year. Get your facts straight before you post ignorant stuff like this.

It’s too bad that Marshawn doesn’t really have any trade value.
But i did hear Ridley Scott is planning on doing a prequel to Alien so maybe he will be able to transition to a movie career.

  13. madbillsfan says: May 20, 2010 1:44 PM

He’s a slower weaker Steven Jackson. Sorry Steven Jackson fans.

  14. kiera620 says: May 20, 2010 1:51 PM

to say emmitt smith couldn’t run for 100 yards behind that line is just ridiculous, if fred jackson can do than emmitt surely could….lynch could too if he didn’t dance around so much, it’s actually painful to watch sometimes, lol. he’s too slow, he works in certain situations but he can’t carry the ball every down. i’m sure they can find something for him to do till he’s gone probably next year anyway.

They should rename Buffalo to blow-ffalo……. they will eternally suck!!!
On the upside, Jim Kelley may be available……… TO LOOSE A SB, OR 4!!!! hahhahahahahahhahahhahahahhahhhhaaaahhhhahaahhaahahahahahahahahahahahah

  17. kristoff says: May 20, 2010 2:04 PM

nate is gay for brady: Um…. please tell us when Thurman ever got a DWI???? was it swept under the rug,cuz nobody ever heard about that!! maybe u r dreaming about Bruce smith.get ur facts straight dumbo.

  18. Greenantz says: May 20, 2010 2:14 PM

Mikey D your right Sorry. He did have ONE 100 yard game against the BUCS then a monster game against Ind in week 17 (Against bench warmers) which were the ONLY games he had that were over over 100. hmmmm 2 out of 16
    Gosh those TWO times…

  19. Greenantz says: May 20, 2010 2:23 PM

kiera620 I do apologize to Emmitt Smith. I am sure he could have done better than any player on the Bills team. Including Thomas who was so hurt when he did not get any love that year the cowboys ripped out his heart in THOSE Superbowls.
But Really Fred had TWO Rushing TDs
    and TWO recieving TDs
He is a good player but the O Line in Buffalo is the problem.
Andy Levietre and Eric Wood need to be pushed.

If the national media knew 10% of the issues Marshawn had with local law enforcement he wouldn’t even be in the league. His treatment of women makes Roethlisberger look like Richard Simmons. It’s no secret in Buffalo or among local media members.
Unfortunately all the other teams know what a dirtbag this guy is so Buffalo couldn’t get crud for him.
As in most cities, people will deal with the crap if you win. But the Bills haven’t done much of that since . . . well . . . Thurman Thomas played.

Freddy Jackson surpassed 1000 yards behind that crappy O-line! FACT

  23. madbillsfan says: May 20, 2010 3:00 PM

    @ Popeye.
Is he as strong or as fast as Steven Jackson?
He IS slower AND weaker. I left dumber out because we ALL do hit and runs.
Same type of build, just nowhere as good.
    NOWHERE.

  24. bobinpuertorico says: May 20, 2010 3:01 PM

News Flash! A pathetic O-line and getting less than half as many carries than in the prior two years tends to cause a RB to rush for fewer yards!

  25. Calir says: May 20, 2010 3:21 PM

It’s a shame Lynch has been such a turd. I really liked this guy coming out of college. Another player who has made a fool of a lot of people pulling for him.

Oh, there it is, it’s Mike Florio’s new haircut.
We should call him Moe Florio.

Watching the Bills practice, group of kids were heckling Thurman after the Supre Bowl loss…..during training camp. He walked over and told them that he was ” sleeping” with their mothers……..Now Marshawn is a bad seed?

He hit a woman in his truck because the damn canadians have right of way up north. Here they decide to dance across the street in a black outfit, at night. I doubt he would park in his driveway where the car can be seen if he realized what he did. He is from So Cal so who the hell knows. Jackson received 1,000 yards because they ran the hell out of him week 17. 1,000 yards in a 16 game season is no longer that impressive. However, behind a line that had 8 different combinations including Meredith, picked up off a practice squad, I don’t think it was that bad.
For those of you that mock the Bills for 4 superbowl losses, at least they made it that far. The Eagles had 3 straight conference championship losses and a superbowl loss to ice the cake.

  31. Bious says: May 20, 2010 4:54 PM

I don’t really like Lynch but he had a right to do what he did if TT said what he did
I get it and I suspect most here would have done the same thing if someone torched them like TT did

  32. kiera620 says: May 20, 2010 5:16 PM

Lol Greenatz being a bills fan we’re all well aware that our o-line is terrible. sure 1000 yards for the year may not be as impressive as it used to be but behind that o-line it’s quite impressive. Give them as much credit as they can the unit was cohesive at all due to all the different combinations they used due to injury, the rookie starters, lynch got way less snaps because he’s looked like shit since he came back from his suspension, i’m not saying jackson’s the greater rb but he earned his carries…i’d love to see lynch be better but i have no reason to believe he will be
