Eagles jump into the Chester Pitts chase

The Seahawks and the Vikings reportedly are interested in free-agent offensive lineman Chester Pitts, who is recovering from microfracture surgery after 113 starts in Houston from 2002 through 2009.

Now, there’s another team at the table.

According to Jordan Raanan of CSNPhilly.com, the Eagles are interested in Pitts.

“I have spoken to a ton of teams about Chester. The Eagles are one of
them
,” agent Andrew Kessler told Raanan via e-mail.  “But I
wouldn’t say he is any more likely to wind up there than anywhere else.”

Eventually, Pitts will work out for any and all interested teams, and then he’ll pick his next one.

“In July, when he is 100 percent and ready to go, we’ll see who is the
most interested then,” Kessler said.  “Until then, no way of really knowing.”

Per Raanan, the Lions and 49ers also are interested in Pitts, who has started every game in Texans history.

Hey Mr. Kessler, please call Mike Shanahan in DC before you have your client sign a contract.

They should ask him to play the oboe for them.
I appreciate your contributions to the Texans, Chester, but you’re not that good of a lineman.

What year was it that the line he was on gave up the most sacks in history? And the Texans are letting him go? Go get him Vikings!

the eagles are so cheap. they refuse to overpay for any players so they get players that are coming off injuries and offer them a lowball contract.
yea thats a way to build a super bowl team…a bunch of guys coming off ACL and MCL tears.

Thought the Niners had interest until the selected to OL in the first round of the NFL Draft. Speaking of the draft check out this free fantasy football draft analyzer: http://www.fantasyfootballstarters.com/draftAnalyzer.jsp
So far the picks look pretty interesting for this early in the season.
