If a Smart-On-The-Field player shows himself to be an Off-the-Field Idiot, why can’t or doesn’t the team itself start taking measures to ensure things won’t get worse than they need to be, during the period before the justice system makes its final decisions, when there are words like charges,hearings, trial date, witnesses, evidence, depositions, conviction – floating around? Can’t the player’s team do anything at all to keep things under control?

Now that’s just silly. Everyone knows Ted takes pride in not drafting for need. Best player available, remember? You can never have too many good FBs, DEs or WRs, no matter how terrible your O-line is.
Also, who puts “healthy” and “Justin Harrell” in the same sentence? Have you followed the Packers lately at all?

Bedard of the Journal Sentinel reports that Judge Mike Anderson ordered Jolly to submit a hair follicle to be tested for drugs and alcohol, barred Jolly from attending any place that has drugs or alcohol, mandated that Jolly undergo an evaluation to determine whether he has a problem with drugs or alcohol, and informed Jolly that he now must abide by a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.”
Hmmmmm. . .don’t they sell alcohol at pretty much every NFL stadium? And Jolly can’t go anywhere that drugs or alcohol are sold?

John Jolly and Clay Matthews were picked up by the cops for selling drugs and appeared in court before the judge. The judge said:
You seem like nice young men, and I’d like to give you a second chance rather than jail time. I want you to go out this weekend and try to show others the evils of drug use and persuade them to give up drugs forever. I’ll see you back in court Monday.”
Monday, they were in court, and the judge said to Jolly:
“How did you do over the weekend?”
“Well, your honour, I persuaded 10 people to give up drugs forever.”
“10 people? That’s wonderful. What did you tell them?”
“I used a diagram, your honour. I drew two circles like this: O o and told them this (the big circle) is your brain before drugs and this (small circle) is your brain after drugs.”
“That’s admirable,” said the judge. “And you, how did you do?” (to Matthews)
“Well, your honour, I persuaded 50 people to give up drugs forever.”
“50 people! That’s amazing! How did you manage to do that!”
“Well, I used the same two circles. I pointed to the small circle and told them, ‘This is your asshole before prison….”

That’s a lot of restrictions for a guy who hasn’t been convicted of anything. Even though it is in his best interests to stay away from “party” environments and keep a low profile, he should be doing it because of his lawyer’s advice or his own common sense, not because of a court order.
