OTAs have Ronnie Brown feeling good about his recovery

Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown was a surprise participant in the team’s organized team activities, and it has him feeling good about his recovery from a Lisfranc fracture in his foot.

It’s good,’' Brown said, per the Miami Herald. “The last couple of days, I’ve been out there, and I’ve been in the offseason program, so I’m steadily making progress. If I continue to make this kind of progress, it will be pretty good for the season.’'

In fact, Brown might not just be pretty good for the season. Although he said he’s not 100 percent yet, he thinks he might be good to go a good six weeks before the start of the season.

Asked if he’s ruling out being 100 percent by the start of training camp in two months, Brown answered, “Definitely not.”

“I’ve been getting better on a weekly and daily basis,” Brown said. “I’ve come a long way. In the offseason program, I started running. And how long has it been, eight, nine weeks into the offseason, and now we’ve started the OTAs, and I’m out here. There are positives. And I look forward to making progress every time we have something as a team, I’m trying to do something. I’m optimistic.’'
