Arizona, Miami, New Orleans could bid for 2015 Super Bowl

Just hours after New York was awarded the 2014 Super Bowl, there’s already talk about which city will host the 2015 game.

The Associated Press reports that Arizona is expected to bid for the 2015 Super Bowl, as is Miami, whose bid was voted down by league owners today. Tampa — the other city to lose out in favor of New York today — hasn’t decided whether to make another bid to host the game.

Meanwhile, Saints Executive VP Dennis Lauscha told the New Orleans Times-Picayune he hopes New Orleans bids for a Super Bowl soon.

“Pending no conflicts [with the schedule] we’ll probably be looking maybe next year [for the 2015 Super Bowl] or the year after for the [2016 Super Bowl] to get back in the race,” Lauscha said. “We knocked around the idea this year of jumping into the race, but there were some conflicts and we couldn’t do it. But we are ready to get in the race and keep getting Super Bowls.”

Just for fun, every city that was rejected should refuse to bid for 2015. that way the commish would have to go cold city again and learn his damn lesson about SNOW and traffic etc. This will be a farce come Feb.2014 when it snows 2 ft..

    I vote for London.

So could 29 other NFL football venues. Wow, I know its a slow day but come on…!

    Oh NO!
We can’t possibly award it to Arizona! They have the outrageous AUDACITY to protect themselves against the flood of illegal aliens flowing across their border and destroying their state.

    AZ will get it.

A Home game for the Super Bowl in 2015?? PHENOMENAL!!! TWO DAT!!!

Arizona will hopefully have every illegal parasite removed from its state by then and deserves to host the bowl for putting Americans first…unfortunately, for this very reason, it will not win its bid.
As much as I love New Orleans and South Florida, the Gulf may still be spewing oil years from now rendering those locations toxic wastelands.
Let’s just play the next 40 Super Bowls in the north to even the score, whaddya say?

NY in February… sets a precedent. Any number of teams/cities could use the economic boost of hosting a SB. Cleveland, Green Bay, Philly and Buffalo should all be considered for 2015.

Lets ALSO not rule out the Vikings in the bid for Super Bowl-2015. The weather in LA is exquisite!!!!

New Orleans has the 2013 game, so that’s a quick turnaround for it to get the 2015 game. 2016 is the big one — No. 50 — that would like nice in the new L.A. stadium next to Staples Center. And the league won’t vote for another cold weather game outdoor site until after it sees how New York/New Jersey goes.

Retractable roofs win. Congrats Arizona! Let this be a lesson to all of you who think otherwise.
Granted you can’t tell me I’m wrong until after the next voting, so screw you.

Arizona won’t get it. Sorry, the NFL will follow PC guidelines there. If they award it to Arizona they might as well send a check to Rush Limbaugh.
But Florio, using your own logic, why should Miami or New Orleans get it? What if a hurricane come through and destroys the stadium that year? What then?
L.A./San Diego/San Fran shouldn’t get it because they might have an earthquake during the Big Game!
St. Louis won’t even have a team soon!
That leaves….what, Dallas and Indy? Dallas can’t have it because a tornado or major hail storm might come through and destroy the stadium!
    Atlanta?

Was the Houston Super Bowl in 2004 a bad experience? I thought it looked awesome in Reliant Stadium.

If Arizona gets the Super Bowl who is going to do all the BS work like cleaning up the trash, selling food, and taking tickets?
Certainly not 20 year old fat, whiny, lazy white kids.

Right because we all know everything would fall apart unless we have criminals to do all the work
    Priceless

What about Tampa, weren’t they 2nd in yesterday’s vote?
Seems to me based on that they’d be the frontrunner for 2015.

Give it to New Orleans since Miami won’t have a roof over theirs and the commissioner may get upset his hairdo will be ruined.

  24. Bious says: May 26, 2010 7:45 PM

New Orleans is bar none the best choice
For goodness sakes, just give it to them as EVERYONE will be happy about that
