If I understand Rosenthal correctly from the quote above, Syracuse, NY, Moscow, ID, Fargo and Grand Forks, ND have better chances at hosting a Super Bowl than New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Pittsburgh et al.
That said, how in the hell did Jacksonville get a Super Bowl?

Synder has been trying to get a Super Bowl for years.
Always the same reply…….no Dome…..no Super Bowl in cold weather.
Synder has done a lot of stupid stuff, but shockingly, he is right on this one. Washington should have been given a Super Bowl before New York.
Is it colder in New York or Washington in Jan\Feb? Everyone on on the east coast can answer that one.
Does it make sense to “test” using New York with the first cold weather Super Bowl? The only places worse would be Buffalo and Green Bay.
Who will win the Super Bowl in 2014? The cold weather team!!!!
Do you think the Vikes would have won a few trophies if they had played cold weather Super Bowls?
Once again rules bent completely out of order for the New York market? Follow the money………..Let’s see who got paid off to support this crazy idea.

Are you kidding me? If he were really into handing out money to fix the D.C. area, we’d have a nice big bit of funding to fix the D.C. Metro system first and foremost. Even the most diehard Redskins fans around here would have to agree that a new stadium is a luxury this city doesn’t need right now.

What he didn’t mention is that unlike NY, Boston, etc. – the DC area does not have the equipment to keep the roads open in 3 feet of snow, and the brain dead DC drivers do not know how to drive in the snow even when they are sober

I am a Skins fan, and I would never host a super bowl in that dump, Fed Ex. They should, however, bring it to Baltimore. Much better access, and it is right in the city. People could realistically walk to the stadium from their hotels.

Why does everyone bang on DannyBoy for FedEx Field? He didn’t build it. It was old Jack Kent Cooke and it seems that he drew the plans for it on a bar napkin, or the back of one of the bail bond receipts for his coke dealing Brazilian wife. Hell old Danny has tried to improve the stadium, but you can only polish a turd so much.

FedEx field is pedestrian at best..
It’s in a terrible location about a mile from the metro in the middle of a townhouse community, with thick traffic congestion all around..
They should’ve imploded RFK and built there but, because of the ineptness and general backwardsness of Washington, DC, they moved it to Landover, MD. So the Redskins have facilities in MD and VA – Ashburn and Landover, but not DC..
Such a joke, and I went to that Monday Night Game where there were more Steelers fans there than Skins’ fans it was beyond absurd.
