Nguyen is a very common Vietnamese name. It’s about as common as Smith is over here.

I’m happy for Wang, but tired of our attempts to highlight and make special cases for the “non-black” minorities in football.
Sanchez got his dinner with the president – he wasn’t even born outside of the states.
Wang gets acknowledgement – again, born here in the United States.
Good for both of them, but why must we single them out and make a big deal about it?

He’s been listed in these comments as 250 pounds, and then 314 by another reliable commenter source. That’s a 64 pound differential. When asked why he appears alot thinner then he really is, he replied “it’s all in the wang”.

Ed Wang might have been 250 in high school, but he is far from that now. He is shown in the Bills roster on NFL.com as 6′ 5″ and 314.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL was making an incentive for Buffalo to sign and keep him. Goodell is excited that jerseys are being sold in a different continent.
If he plays well, I openly admit I was wrong. But I think there is some political pressure here.
