New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey, who was hospitalized today with seizure-like symptoms, went on Twitter this evening to say he’ll be fine.
Shockey tweeted, “I am ok, thanks to everyone who has shown their concern don’t worry about me I will be fine.. WHO DAT!!”
Saints coach Sean Payton said he talked to Shockey and expects him to make a full recovery.
“I talked to Jeremy from the hospital and the good news is he’s feeling better and everything looks real good,” Payton said Thursday afternoon, a couple of hours after Shockey left the team facility in an ambulance. “He’ll likely finish up his tests and spend the night in the hospital. They don’t know if it was dehydration or what. That’s what they’re going through right now. They just want to make sure it’s nothing more significant than that.”
