Johnny Jolly’s trial postponed again

Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly is still awaiting trial, nearly two years after he was arrested in Houston and charged with possession of at least 200 milligrams of codeine. He’s going to wait a little longer.

The Harris County District Court hearing the case postponed Jolly’s trial until Tuesday because of a scheduling conflict with three other cases, the Green Bay Press Gazette reports.

Jolly was arrested on July 8, 2008. He could be sentenced to as much as 20 years in prison if convicted. Jolly is free on bond, and last week the judge tightened the restrictions on him after prosecutors suggested he had violated the conditions of his bond.

Jolly is a restricted free agent who has not signed his tender offer.
