It took a couple of months, but it appears that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger finally has commenced the effort to repair his tattered image.
The first effort comes from his much-publicized round of golf with former girlfriend Natalie Gulbis, a member of the LPGA tour. Gulbis called Roethlisberger a “great guy.”
The possible intended message from the Roethlisberger camp? If he is a sexual predator, none of his ex-girlfriends would want to do anything other than cram a fork into his head. So since Gulbis is willing to do the opposite, he must not be a sexual predator.
“I’ve known him for four years,” she added. “He has always been fantastic to me, and we’ve been friends since before he even started playing for the Steelers. I’ll continue to cheer for him and the Steelers.”
Congrats, Natalie. You just earned yourself a whole bunch of shots.
