Tiki gets blocked from being in the room when his twins are born

We’ve posted a couple of items about the post-career predicaments of former Giants running back (and former NBC Sports personality) Tiki Barber, who reportedly left his wife for another woman while his wife was eight months pregnant with twins.

There’s been a new development that can’t be ignored.  Barber’s wife recently gave birth to two baby girls, and Barber’s wife barred him from entering the delivery room.

“Tiki was at the hospital for the birth, but was not in the delivery
room
,” an unnamed source told the New York Post.

Maybe she didn’t want him around when the babies were born because of fears he might fumble one of them.

Hey-o!  I’m here all week.  Actually, I’m here pretty much every week.

Because Coughlin coached him to stop instead of staring at him like all the other supposed coaches do to fumblers…..
Maybe she was scared he would hit on them though……

  9. D wins games says: May 28, 2010 8:58 AM

This is only a surprise if you have never been in a delivery room. The woman giving birth is not necessarily in the best condition during the pain of delivery anyway, let alone having her snake of a husband who abandoned her for a young college girl hanging out!

  10. Duck Fallas says: May 28, 2010 8:59 AM

Tiki has been ‘involved’ with another woman, according to some media sources-the fact that the mother of his new twins did not allow him to be in the delivery room would seem to confirm those reports.

Failed relationships happen all the time. Sure, anyone would look like a loser if he left his wife while she was about to have his twins, but if the relationship wasn’t working out it was going to happen sooner or later.
Also, I’m sure she’s already filled out paper work to cash in on an obscene amount of child support. Why? Because they are HIS KIDS, which should also give him certain rights, like being a father to his kids as well as being there for their birth!

“There’s been a new development that can’t be ignored.”
This gets to the heart of why PFT is popular and usually rubbish at the same time. This is a developement that can be ignored and should be. This is literally a way Florio can have fun at the expense of an ex-player and the reason why he is so very hard to consider as a real reporter and not the manager of a tabloid. When he comes out with a quote from an unnamed source you have to wonder if that source is Rodney Dangerfield.

I cant stand women who use their kids as a weapon against the father.. I guess I should rephrase that and say … I cant stand parents who use their kids against one another, cus it does work both ways. Keeping him from seeing them being born, did what?? The only thing it did was make her feel like she got her revenge.. I bet she will blackmail him too in order to see the kids.
He was screwed either way,if he wasnt there he would be called a dead beat Dad.. etc. Its a vicious circle that women control. its BS if you ask me….
What happens between the parents should never be used as a basis for their childrens well being.

  64. IRCHS1963 says: May 28, 2010 1:01 PM

My God, I agree, no way should Tiki be allowed in the delivery room when the babies are born …… his history ‘drops’ & ‘fumbles’ would not be a good thing for the newborns !!!!

  70. Janna66 says: May 28, 2010 3:48 PM

Steeler-lady…. The article doesn’t say he was prevented from seeing the babies, just that he wasn’t allowed in the delivery room.
Go ahead and tell me if your husband very publicly cheated on you, then left you while pregnant, that you would allow him in your hospital room to watch (what amounts to) a very personal medical procedure…. especially a vaginal birth. I don’t think so.

  71. DawnC says: May 28, 2010 3:56 PM

Good for her! I went through the same thing. When I was 7 months pregnant for my second child when my husband left me for someone else. I would not let him in the room. There is already enough stress when you are in labor to have to deal with that drama when things are tense and it’s not good for the baby. Maybe he should have thought about that before having some other woman when your wife is pregnant. Apparantly the “other woman” must be more important than your unborn children for someone to cause a woman stress like that when they are pregnant! Kudos to his wife for standing up for herself and those babies!!

  72. dlmcc0909 says: May 31, 2010 9:59 PM

I usually dont feel bad for women that marry athletes and then wonder why they get cheated on. but in this case, what Tiki did was foul. the woman was pregnant and had to read about this in the newspapers. I cant imagine how that must feel and i wouldnt wish it on anyone. This guy was always one of the biggest tools in football. Selfish player and an arrogant guy who thought he would sound smart by talking like hes studying for the vocabulary part of the SAT exam. Not so smart now are you Tiki, as his wife is going to bang him out hard for alimony and child support
