LenDale is "confused" and "broken up" over his release

LenDale White has not spoken publicly since he was released by the Seattle Seahawks Friday. But he has spoken privately to his uncle, who described his nephew as shaken by his abrupt release.

White’s uncle, Herman White, says LenDale is “confused” and “broken up.”

He wasn’t doing good,” Herman White said of LenDale’s reaction to the news on Friday. “I have no idea what happened.”

What happened, according to various reports, is that LenDale wasn’t working hard enough, and he’s also facing a four-game suspension. LenDale apparently wasn’t aware that he had any issues that would lead the Seahawks to cut him.

“He was surprised,” Herman White said. “I’m pretty shocked, based on what he’s been telling me.”

“He wasn’t doing good,” Herman White said ….er…isn’t that WHY they cut him?

MEatloaf Lendale is surprised that testing positive and being fat led to his release? I’m shocked too..lol

  4. ChargerDillon says: May 29, 2010 3:26 PM

Lendale will be on another team very soon, and the Seahawks will have wasted their time and looks like the losers in the end
Pete Carrol is a douche and so is most everything that comes from USC

    Here’s the deal, LenDale:
You suck. Big wobbly dangly donkey dicks.
    Hope this helps.

  6. funi says: May 29, 2010 3:32 PM

Maybe if he was nto smoking weed, he would not be confused!

  7. SeriousRadio says: May 29, 2010 3:46 PM

I feel that Carroll had nothing to do with this. His silence probably indicates this was a GM decision.

  8. CD_Ridge says: May 29, 2010 3:49 PM

It’s the ultimate ending for Lendale White with the Curse of the Terrible Towel. Doubts he will ever defile the towel again.

  9. subadai says: May 29, 2010 3:51 PM

Queue the music from “The Wonder Years.”
    Carrol: “LenDale, your cut.”
Lendale (Voice Over): “It was at that moment that I realized that the USC Coach Carrol was NOTHING like the NFL Coach Carrol and that the NFL is nothing like USC. At that point, I quit. Now where did I put my bong.”

  10. MosesZD says: May 29, 2010 3:54 PM

Fat, drug-addled and lazy… Yeah, that so works in the NFL…

  13. txtumbleweed says: May 29, 2010 4:18 PM

Why do you people rejoice at someone elses misery? Will you feel the same when you lose your job?

  14. MrHumble says: May 29, 2010 4:21 PM

Me thinks Lendale put more stock in what his homies told him than what coaches told him.

  15. East Bay Ray says: May 29, 2010 4:29 PM

LenDale is the guy who seriously attempted to make the argument on the Petros and Money show a few weeks ago that the Titans were worse this past year than the year before because he didn’t get enough carries, as Chris Johnson (and his 5.6 yards per carry) got most of them. His grasp of reality seems to be lacking. Couple that with a mysterious weight loss that has left him nonetheless out of shape and I think it’s pretty clear that he’s a drug addict.

Maybe LenWhale and JaWalrus could go into business together.. they both seem to have about the same work ethic…

  17. S.Miller says: May 29, 2010 5:23 PM

This guy has never been anything but a big mouth..period..Carroll thought he probably grew up from USC days..saw that he didnt and made an example to the rest of this team that there will be no favorites past or present..
    Good riddance.

@txtumbleweed: “Why do you people rejoice at someone elses misery? Will you feel the same when you lose your job?”
They ALWAYS do that here (unless it’s their own team, of course).

  19. VASeahawk says: May 29, 2010 5:36 PM

Actually, Charger, dumping White sends a message that it isn’t business as usual and no job is safe. Even if White ends up somewhere besides Skid Row, the point will have been made and some of the other previously dead weight may finally extricate their craniums from their rectums.
Terrible Towel…Stupid, silly and, gay(not that there’s anything wrong with that). Maybe that’s why Ben rapes women to overcome the TT shame.

Another USC bust and abuse abuser. Linhart, Bush, Douchebag Leuti, Any WR, Cushing roiding up, so Joe McNight is next bust with Petey boy gettign the axe after a 4-12 season this year!

  21. BernardPollardIsAnAss says: May 29, 2010 6:07 PM

He probably figured he’d have somewhat of a free ride with Carrol at the helm. Guess not. Glory days are long gone LW. Bruce Springsteen will tell you that.

  23. wxwax says: May 29, 2010 6:33 PM

This whole story is based on Herman White’s comments.
But you’ve already reported once on the uncle’s comments. Why do it again?
I realize White is the biggest story going in this dull off-season, but gratuitously recycling your own stories? Really?

  24. Tay Clark says: May 29, 2010 6:45 PM

funi is an idiot, Carroll will be around for awhile cause he’s damn near running the show. And as for LenDale, you can’t expect to be on an NFL team with a poor work ethic and a suspension looming…unless that team is the Bengals. By the way, WegotSix your right. What do the Seahawks know about football? Well, a lot more than you think. Having the best draft of ANY team and competitive OTA’s this offseason is a sign of great things to come. I promise that! GO HAWKS!!!

  25. Hawkfan50 says: May 29, 2010 7:29 PM

VASeahawk – very nice ! It does indeed send the message that no one is safe and Carroll isn’t playing favorites with anyone regardless of their past history with them . The best player plays , regardless of contract , draft status or previous history with coach Carroll . And if you’re not onboard with the team-first , always-competing-to-keep-your-spot philosophy then you won’t be a Seahawk for long .
Finally , someone who knows how to run a damn football team to get maximum effort and results from the talent available ! The more I watch what’s happening to Seattle’s football team since the new regime took over , the more I like what I’m seeing . It’s not a one-year fix , but this team is about to surprise a whole lot of people real soon .

  26. pft_b1ows says: May 29, 2010 7:42 PM

Did someone just say competitive OTA’s? That is priceless.

  27. Lance19 says: May 29, 2010 9:05 PM

Well, you always want to be careful judging
someone by someone else’s version of a
conversation they (maybe) had with them.
If I had to guess (assuming that it is true that
White was really “confused”…which we don’t know)
I’d guess that someone in Seahawks management
told him he needed to lose a bunch of weight.
He DID, (but without adequate conditioning improvement)
and so he doesn’t “get” why he was released…
    since he DID lose weight.
    Again, just guessing.

Saints need a back like LenDale he can team back up with Reggie Bush. Keep your head up LenDale a team that needs a quality back will pick you up.

I guess we have FINALLY learned our lesson.

  31. SeriousRadio says: May 29, 2010 10:33 PM

Since Carroll hasn’t said squat about White, I do not understand why posters think cutting him was his decision. I haven’t read that anyone in the media has even asked Carroll about White. Might he be pissed about the FO releasing him?

  32. SeriousRadio says: May 29, 2010 10:41 PM

The NFL has stated that there is no scheduled suspension for White. It has never been confirmed…just another rumor championed by this site.

Why is it that so many people spell Matt Leinart’s name “Leinhart” or like this tard “Linhart”? Where do you get the h from? It bugs the sh*t out of me! And by the way, what about Troy Polamalu, Carson Palmer and Lofa Tatupu are they busts? I guess you were abusing too much abuse to remember those guys

Why do you people rejoice at someone elses misery? Will you feel the same when you lose your job?
    Mr. Tumbleweed:
I think football fans rejoice at this kind of misery because it is utterly and completely self imposed.
Most of us would love to have the body and physical skills that these jerks have, along with the opportunity to earn more in a 4 to 5 year career than most do in a lifetime, guaranteeing ourselves and our loved ones the kind of financial comfort that 99% of people on this planet can only dream about.
So yes, I rejoice when these stupid, selfish, immature, moronic jerks that don’t appreciate what life has handed them get what’s coming to them and are thrown out of their priviledged environment and back to the real world.
Oh, and also, if I ever lose my job, it won’t be because I didn’t put the required effort into it and violated rules that were known to me!
The fact is that some of these kids come from completely wrecked homes and backgrounds, yet have enough common sense and initiative to work their butts off because they understand and appreciate this golden opportunity.
If getting canned comes as a surprise to Mr White, it only means he is to stupid to be successful in the NFL
So yes, I do rejoice, because it shows me that life, at least to some extent, works the way it’s supposed to!
