I think that Tyrell Johnson can be better, you got to remember, he is entering his third season and last season was the first time he’s started. Williams on the other hand needs to restructure his contract. I think his play has been mediocre at best, he’s a solid backup and gives us depth, but I see Atogwe as a much better option as a starter. That being said… Obviously Spielman doesn’t see it that way, so they’ll have to both step up their game (like they did in the playoffs).

Sort of like the Pro Bowlers the Vikings have signed (Favre, Hutchinson, Winfield, Pat Williams & Sharper) or even the very good ones (Shiancoe, C Taylor, Longwell, Berrian & Leber)? You can continue to go back and find numerous solid contributors as well. Heck, even Pro Bowler Jared Allen had to agree to a contract extension with the Vikings before they would complete a trade for him.
I sure hope this was stated in jest mike, anything else just makes you look foolish and completely uninformed.

While I do wish the Vikings would add a quality safety, and this surely looks like a golden oppurtunity, Bobber here overlooks some pertinent facts connected to the stats he posted. (Remember, stats can be manipulated to indicate what you want)
First, the Vikings have had one of the best run defenses (again!) in the league, thus teams pass more often; inflating passing statistics. Second, the Vikings had some significant leads in which they played soft zones (often with backups throughout the layers of the defense) allowing yardage, but chewing up time and preventing the quick score (including against GB). Third, their best corner (Winfield) missed significant time, and the nickleback also dealt with injury.
Finally, take a look at the two playoff games against the 1st & 2nd ranked offenses in the league last year (4th & 6th in passing offense) and check out the stats. The Vikings gave up a total, I repeat, a total of 505 yards in the two games combined, only 345 of which was passing yards! Green Bay by comparison, gave up 531 total yards (including 375 passing yards) in one playoff game against the 12th ranked passing offense.
Bobber, I’ll let you struggle to figure out which of these set of statistics are better.

I can’t see him going to Miami since they just made Brandon Marshall the highest paid WR and Karlos Dansby the highest paid LB. Cowboys say they’re satisfied with their options at S. Why would he want to go back to the Rams???I doubt he goes back, and the Eagles just spent a 2nd round pick on a S in this draft. Not sure why the Vikes didn’t try to get this guy, would of easily made our secondary 2 times better. Disappointed that Spielman wasnt interested in him, you cannot be satisfied with Tyrell Johnson and Madieu Williams next year, they played pathetically. Can’t tackle, can’t cover, can’t make any plays on the ball, they’re both useless.

Even with a poor revenue, they STILL pull big FAs (which you ripped in your post yesterday with the same lame stats).
I also understand why you would rip them for actually making moves in the FA market. Ted Thompson has shown wat a brilliant GM does with his great signings!!
