Bills bag Batten

Buffalo Bills sixth-round draft pick Danny Batten, an outside linebacker from South Dakota State, signed a contract with the team after today’s organized team activities.

“It’s just completes everything and now there’s a signature to make everything official,” Batten told Buffalobills.com. “I’m very thankful that the Bills reached out and that we were able to work something out. I can definitely rest easier now.”

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Batten was a 4-3 defensive end in college but is making the transition to 3-4 outside linebacker.

“It’s been going good,” said Batten. “There are things that I’m learning every single day. We’re installing every single day, but I’m picking it up relatively well and I’m studying all day and all night. So I’m learning the plays and I’m getting it down.”

The Bills previously signed fifth-round pick Ed Wang. Seven of their nine picks remain unsigned.
