LenDale could be waiting a while for his next gig

When he signed a four-year contract in 2006, LenDale White thought he’d be a free agent in 2010.  And now he is, but not in the way he’d envisioned.

Unwanted by his former college coach and in line for a four-game suspension, White now waits for the phone to ring.

PFTV looks at how long he may have to wait — and where he quite possibly will end up.

  1. It could be a while; way to go out on a limb. Hey you know what, he also may be signed on Friday or maybe never. Wow I am sure glad we have sportswriters who are “in the know” so that none of us miss this kind of breaking news.

Whenever the curse of the Terrible Towel wears off he’ll find work.
I spit on the damn towel with no ill consequences!!

  3. he must have thought all he had to do was lose all that weight and the job would be handed to him…
he could always spell adam richman on man vs. food

  4. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in a Bengals uni. The guy really has a nose for the end zone and/or the buffet line. But in all seriousness, he had a 1000 yard season and a 15 td season back to back, so you know he can tote the rock.

  5. “I would love to see LenDale in NOLA.”
You must not have seen him play much…. As a Titan fan I can honestly say you don’t want him on your team.

And he finished that 1000 yd season w/ the worst ypc average in league history iirc. And check out the vids of his 15 TDs… All but the one on MNF vs the Colts were cupcake runs and that one was more effort than power and/or skill.

  7. “We want Lendale to sign anywhere near our 1600 nationwide locations.”

reo: I am hoping he can bounce back like Ricky Williams did. He put up 659 yards in 160 attempts in 2008 and 1121 yards in 241 attempts.

    I wouldn’t say that.
    After all, you are you…

  10. Lunchpail white will end on the Raiders looking for Russell’s doggie bag he left in his locker.

  11. Lendale has no “terrible towel curse”. He was never good to begin with. Chris Johnson carried him his rookie year. He progressively got fatter..and fatter and here we are.

Rickey was at least good to begin w/ and he’s got a good work ethic. His problem was that he’s got severe social anxiety disorder and he tried to balance his anxiety w/ weed.
White was never any good. He played 2nd fiddle to Travis Henry his rookie year. His 2nd year, he would’ve been the 3rd RB but Brown got hurt and Henry got suspended. Then the very next year they drafted Chris Henry to replace him but Henry sucked and the next year they drafted Chris Johnson to finally replace him and then the next year they finally drafted Javon Ringer to finally boot White off the roster.
He’s fat, lazy and slow. Check out the tape. All his TDs were gimmie TDs to placate him so he wouldn’t bitch as CJ got all the important yards. He’s a big fat finesse back that doesn’t run w/ power, doesn’t break tackles, rarely falls forward and is tripped up extremely easily. I’ve been to practice where I watched him hang out w/ coaches and suck up while the other RBs went through drills until they finally made him go through them… at which time he’d do it half assed.
Even now, he’s slimmer but not “in shape.” he just lost a ton of weight, probably by taking something. He didn’t do it the right way by working out hard and building muscle. He doesn’t work. He just looks for the very minimum and does that.
You don’t want him. Trust me.
