One more thing NYMets:
In the last 10 years, the Jets have swept the Fins exactly *5* times. Since I'm sure math is just as difficult for you as actually looking up your facts, that means that the Fins have swept the Jests...are you still with me?...*5* times. That's called a 50-50 split.
Dumbass.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I dislike the Jets just about as much as anyone here, but that was a pretty stupid statement. If the Jets swept the Dolphins 5 times in the last 10 years, that doesn't mean the Dolphins swept the Jets 5 times; they play eachother 2 times per year, therefore they could have split the season 1-1. As a matter of fact the Dolphins only swept the Jets 2 times (2003, 2009) over the last 10 years, while the Jets have done it 5 times (2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007). Since 2000, the Jets lead the head-to-head regular season series 13-7. However, despite that success, the Jets have only finished with a better record than the Dolphins 4 times (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009). Overall, the Dolphins have put up a .574 lifetime winning percentage, second best ever, while the Jets have put up a .455 lifetime winning percentage, 7th worst all time. Looking ahead, the Dolphins are in a better position to have success & maintain it year in year out, while the Jets are in serious trouble after 2010. Although the Jets have the series lead over the Dolphins for the past 10 years, the Dolphins are a better franchise with a richer tradition & track record of success. That'll show again this year when the Dolphins finish ahead of the Jets.
Advantage Dolphins.
As a side note, did you know the Jets have a worse lifetime winning percentage than the Lions? What a friggen joke.

The Jets swept the blowholes for 10 of the last 12 years. The blowholes get lucky one season and sweep the Jets, and the Jets STILL get to the AFC Championship game while blowholes don't even make the playoffs.
Show me a blowhole fan who's not a turd and I'll show you an alien from Mars.
The blowhole fan needs to check the all time head to head history between the two teams before they start spewing schmegma from their blowholes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the fact that you are a Mets fan, but show me a Jets fan who isn't a drunken, blowhard, loud mouth a$$hole & I'll show you a miracle. By nature, jets fans were born with a warped sense of reality. Let's look back:
Bill Parcels drafts Chad Pennington, a QB with no arm & Jets fans think he's the second coming of Broadway Joe after he leads the Jets to a 9-7 record & a 41-0 win against the Colts in the AFC Wild Card round. The Jets follow-up that "stellar" season by going 6-10 & finishing LAST in the AFC East in 2003. Then In 2004 the Jets return to their schizophrenic form by going 10-6 & once again make it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs by beating the Chargers behind the great play of a defensive star, Jonathan Vilma. Jets fans are pumped & feel their team is primed to make a run. Mike Tannenbaum makes some offseason moves & the Jets respond by going 4-12 in 2005, spelling the end of Herman Edwards & in comes Mangenius for 2006. The next Bill Belichick & Bill Parcels (both started with the Giants I must add) brings the Jets back to the playoffs yet again by going 10-6, but gets a thumping from the Pats in the first round. Once again, Jets fans are stoked, thinking they have stolen the baby Belichick from the Pats & the Jets are primed for long-term success, right? WRONG! They respond by going 4-12 in 2007 & watched their co-tenants, the only real NY football team, the Giants win the Super Bowl & do something they could not do in 2 tries: beat the Patriots. The Jets used their #4 pick that year on defensive stud Vernon Gholston. Jets fans argued until blue in the face that 2007 was aberration & that Mangenius & KELLEN CLEMMENS would bring them back to success (not that they ever had any). So in 2008, the Jets go 9-7 & miss the playoffs yet again. Out goes Mangini, in comes Fat Rex & Dirty Sanchez. The Jets respond by going 9-7, backing into the playoffs, and reaching the AFC Championship for the first time since 1998 (which they followed up with an 8-8 record & LAST place). The Bengals sucked, but the win against the Chargers was impressive.
History has a habit of repeating itself, especially with the Jets. The Jets got a lucky season from a small armed QB in Sanchez (ala Chad Pennington) and had a fluke season under yet another first year head coach (ala Herm Edwards & Mangenius). The Jets went out & signed some free agents, just as they did after 2004's aberration, and have stoked their fan base. The Jets did not sign Taylor & LT & trade for Holmes to improve their team; they made those moves to butts in the seats & sell PSL's. As history has shown, they Jets are primed not for success, but for yet another disappointing season. The Jets are & always will be the little brother in New York. Across the board, the Giants are a better team & in a better position to achieve & maintain long-term success. Since 1960, the Jets are 350-420-8; by definition that is below average. They have a lifetime winning percentage of .455, which is good for 7th worst all-time; ahead of only the Houston Texans (.383), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (.392), the Atlanta Falcons (.415), the Arizona Cardinals (.419), the New Orleans Saints (.422) & the Cincinnati Bengals (.438). Furthermore, of those bottom feeders, only the Cardinals have played more games than the Jets' 778. By definition, that is the earmark of a team destined for life-long mediocrity & below average play. With that being said, Jets fans should temper their expectations. Like the Mets in baseball, no matter what the Jets do, they will always be losers (at least the Mets have more championships & playoff appearances in a shorter existence). Therefore, the 2010 AFC East will look like this:
1. New England Patriots: 12-4
2. Miami Dolphins: 10-6 (Wild Card)
3. New York Jets: 9-7
4. Buffalo bills: 5-11
Enjoy another disappointing season, which will be followed by an even worse season. Football is not a win-now league; the best teams build for the long-term by developing through the draft & supplementing through free agency; the complete opposite from what the Jets did (ask Daniel Snyder).

Hey NYSecondTierTeam:
According to my fellow nerds at Wikipedia, the all time series is a tight 46-40-1 in favor of the Jests. Apparently, the only time we met in the playoffs was in the 1982 AFC championship game, and as I'm sure you know (and probably have some invented excuse for) the Jesters lost that one, as they did this one. I don't know exactly what you are trying to say with this reference, seeing as in 87 games, everything is relatively even, and your joke of a team lost the only time they played us in the playoffs. Speaking of which, given how many times the Fins have been to the playoffs, it speaks volumes about your team that we've only met ONCE....as in the Jets are never there.
A Yets fan making fun of anyone for "spewing schmegma" is laughable at best. Your entire organization is based on denial. Well, that and snausages, you know Rex is MENTAL for those snausages. Every member of that team, along with every kool aid drinking moronic fan makes and maintains excuse after excuse for why a loss isn't a loss, and a mistake isn't a mistake.
Please keep posting, though. Your commentary is very entertaining, given your apparent IQ.

Most of the Jet terminators are on Defense. In other words : Try and score. Get terminated.
2010
NY Jets 12-4
NE 9-7
Buffalo 6-10
Blow Holes 5-11
The terminator will pound it in from the one.
TD, NY Jets!
----------------------
It's amazing these Yet fans forget that Miami swept their pathetic franchise last year. Now that the Yets lost Thomas Jones their running game will be nothing like it was last year and Sanchez will actually have to trow the ball more than 20 times a game and when he does Sanchez's int's will sky rocket.
Dolphins 11-5
Pats 10-6
Bills 6-10
Yets 0-16

Blow Holes 5-11
The terminator will pound it in from the one.
TD, NY Jets!
It’s amazing these Yet fans forget that Miami swept their pathetic franchise last year. Now that the Yets lost Thomas Jones their running game will be nothing like it was last year and Sanchez will actually have to trow the ball more than 20 times a game and when he does Sanchez’s int’s will sky rocket.
Dolphins 11-5
Pats 10-6
Bills 6-10
Yets 0-16

Loved this pick when the Jets made it. But I'd still rather have Thomas Jones running behind him than Ladanian Tomlinson.
Oh well. Hopefully this guy turns out great, just so us fans get to make Terminator references. Terminator references are NEVER a bad thing.
Can already see the SportsCenter highlights when this guy gets his first pancake block:
"Hasta la Vista, baby!"
I'm sure the Monday Night Countdown guys will have plenty of fun with it too.

Stupid nickname. John Conner is not & has never been The Terminator. Conner was the boy who leads the future resistance against the machines. John Conner is merely a name of a character in the movie. Also, John Conner is not a rare name.
